The moment he walked into the store, a paper plane flew right into his face.

"Ha! A letter for you," Manager Kim teased. "Who would've thought–you can find love in convenience stores! But, what's with the paper planes? Is this the trend nowadays?"

Soo-ho paid him no mind and instead looked out the window, gazing at the departing bus with yearning eyes. He never sent a reply back, yet here is her response...

He had tried, but the more he wrote, the more the consequence haunted him, and he retreated with every dip and curve of his pen. What if she approached him? What if they were to talk? The spell would be broken, and his years of waiting would be for nothing. He held back his selfishness for her and put down the pen after numerous tries of trying to express himself on paper.

Yet, she found a way.

He unraveled the letter.

Dear Soo-ho,

I found this crumpled paper plane on the way to the bus stop yesterday morning. You didn't finish it and now I'm really curious. Why didn't you send it properly? Don't be scared, I don't bite! :<

But, if you don't want to meet face to face yet, I totally get it! I approached you in a strange way, so it's understandable... I just really want to get to know you, that's all. Speaking of that, you said that you had no hobbies at all! You're boring :(((

(By the way, my mom found the letter you wrote me last night and I got super embarrassed. She keeps teasing me, but at least she didn't tell my dad. If she did, you would know, because he would track you down ;-;)

Don't hesitate to respond!

Your friend, Young-ro

Fate must be tempting him. And like a fool, he was willing to take the bait.

Manager Kim suddenly appeared beside him. "So, what did she say? Did you ask her out?"

"...I didn't take you for a gossip, sir."

"Answer my question."

"...No, I haven't even met her in person."

The older man patted his back and laughed. "Oh, no need to worry. I think she comes here earlier to catch you so that you two can meet."

"I can't."

"Oh, you're scared all of a sudden."

Soo-ho smiled sadly. "I am scared. I don't want to ruin her life." Again.

But, perhaps, he can still be a part of her life, no matter how small his role may be. Even if just a little, he wanted to be the reason for her smile.

To make up for the lost time.

Dear Soo-ho,

I was so excited when I got your letter back! Manager Kim told me you weren't ready to meet me yet, and I understand :).

Also, don't think too hard about what to send! To be honest, I'm just blabbering over here, but when I write to you, the words come easily for some reason. By the way, sorry for calling you boring, it was a joke but you handled it so maturely ;-;. And what do you mean by not being used to having freedom? Sorry if its a bit too personal, just want to know if you're okay...

You were right about my family though! We are very close, I'm lucky to have them :). What about you? Do you have any family? Friends?

Ahh, sorry if this letter is so messily written, I start dress rehearsals tomorrow and everyone's putting a lot of pressure on me! (>.<) I don't have many friends in the club, it seems they all look down on me because I'm a freshman... But I'm okay, I can handle it!
