Chapter 2: we're..... siblings?

Third person POV:

On their way to school, Xiao catches Aether pouting. "Are you alright Aether?" Xiao says worriedly "I'm just a bit upset at Lumine for not texting me back when I told her we're siblings, that's all" Aether says in a slightly annoyed tone, which Xiao thinks is cute (fcking simp smh)(ikrr- Krazylee)

At lunchtime, Aether heads over to the table that Lumine was sitting at, dragging Xiao along with him. "LUMINE! YOU HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO" Aether cries out loudly to, apparently, his sister.

"What is it?" "Don't act dumb, I sent you a text remember?" "Ohhhh the one about us being siblings right?" Lumine says as she takes a bite out of her sandwich "Why are you so casual about it?" "I knew already" The older sister said nonchalantly, making Aether just stand there, dumbfounded "AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME?" The boy said huffing and puffing at his sister, making her laugh.

"Pfffft, why are you so worked up about it? I didn't tell you because I didn't think it was that important" "I didn't think it was that important" Aether says mockingly "I guess I can forgive you, but at least tell me what I've missed all these years" Aether plops himself onto the empty seat, making Xiao sit next to him "Before we catch up, mind explaining that?" Lumine points out, motioning her eyes onto Xiao and Aether holding hands.

"Uhhh, did you pick up any new hobbies?" Aether says, desperately trying to change the subject and failing miserably, Lumine decided to not tease them much for now, but an idea suddenly popped into her mind "Y'know, I remember a lot from when you were a baby Aether'' Lumine says, starting her plan "Really? Please tel-" Aether was about to say, when he remembers his crush is right next to him "....'' The blonde boy stays silent to prevent his sister from spilling baby stories, but Lumine obviously didn't stop, this was her intention.
"Xiao, Aether was so loud when he was little, I hope he's not too loud with you in b-" Lumine was about to make an..... interesting joke to say the least when she gets interrupted by her little brother shoving food into her mouth to stop her from talking.

Xiao isn't stupid, he obviously got the joke, but he pretended to not hear it to prevent any more of embarrassing himself and Aether. Lumine spoke a bit about Aether's baby stories, when an unknown blue headed girl joined the conversation.

"Sorry to interrupt but I need to return Xiao's notebook" the mysterious person said shyly.

"Oh, Ganyu," Xiao said, not sounding surprised at all. Xiao and Ganyu chatted for quite a bit and Aether started getting a bit jealous, wondering who this 'Ganyu' person was "I've never seen you here before, but hello Ganyu!" Aether said, trying to hide how jealous he was. "Oh, I don't think I have introduced myself, my apologies. I'm Ganyu, Xiao's older sister" Aether just sat there, dumbfounded once again, but he was also hit with a wave of relief that she was just his sister. "Xiao you never told me that you had a sister!" The blonde boy said enthusiastically, Ganyu caught on to their feelings towards each other quite a while back.

Flashback bitch

Xiao opens up his phone and starts texting Aether with a slight smile on his face. Ganyu happened to be in the same room as him and was shocked "What are you doing Xiao?" Ganyu asks with curiosity "I'm just texting....a friend, none of your concern" the blue headed woman got the answer she expected, but the first part surprised her a little and she naturally wanted to find out who her dear brother was so happy texting. She moved around to be at an angle where she could see what's going on. She then saw their conversation.

Ganyu was surprised that such a simple conversation brought Xiao so much joy, but she was happy either way. Afterall, Xiao finally found someone he wants to get close with.

End of flashback

"Aether, can I tell you something?" The bluenette asks, Aether is confused and says a small "ok" "Xiao used to mumble your name in his sleep before you moved in" Ganyu whispered quietly, trying to not let Xiao hear her but failed. Xiao heard his older sister tell his crush about his habit and immediately went red, shoving almond tofu into his mouth to hide his embarrassment. Aether obviously got flustered for a bit, but came out of the conversation with a big smile plastered onto his face.
