"I— what do you m-mean? I-I d-do not understand. You said it was a dream!! What sense should I make out of 'it wasn't a dream'?!" Harry bellows with a thick stream of tears rolling down the paleness of his cheeks. He removes Louis' arms from his middle and sits up, Louis following behind as he faces his hysteric mate. His eyes are frantic with a tempest of emotions rising within them as he clutches onto the meat of Louis' arms, the sharpness of his nails piercing Louis' skin.

Louis wants to hold him in his arms and calm him until the tears are dried, until his breaths are even and he does not appear to be on the verge of a debacle. But Louis refrains himself and remains unmoving with his eyes cast on Harry's swollen belly, head hanging with the weight of dishonour.

"Why was lying to me the path you chose?" Harry growls lowly.

"What I did was for the sole purpose of keeping you safe." He says, never meeting the eyes of his lover. Harry's face carries disgust and hurt, looking at Louis with fierce eyes, and Louis wonders if the omega will attack him. He hopes Harry attacks him.

"And making me miserable was your m-measure to keep me safe? Our pup safe?" Harry cries out, his cheeks blushed with anger and pain. "I am afraid to inform you, Louis William, I felt anything but safe. I wasn't s-sure if I'd survive, for heaven's sake! You have no notion of how h-horrible you made me feel. How unworthy I felt of your love, how afraid I was that you had stopped loving me." Harry roars, his anger laced with tears and broken words.

"My love," Louis begins, his throat dry and stripped of any words. He waits and waits, hoping he'll find some words that might be able to allay Harry, but the air of silence is what flows around them. Harry whimpers and chokes out, shaking his head as he cries and refuses to glance at Louis. "I had my reasons. Please," Louis pleads while a failed attempt at consoling Harry is made.

"Tell me, then. Tell me what were those reasons?"

"It is not as a cinch, I am afraid," Louis replies, thoughts stuck in a conundrum. "I, uh, I did not wish for you to trouble your mind by disclosing the truth that the Tomlinson nobility have kept hidden for ages. I couldn't do that to you." He whispers the end and his hands tremble as they search for Harry's. Harry thwarts but gives in once he eyes the state Louis is in. "I couldn't ever do that to you."

"It is inevitable now," Harry says, cold and bitter and sharp.

Louis breathes once before he lets go of Harry's hand and stands up. He knows it's inevitable now, knows that he mustn't keep the omega in the dark. But he also knows what he must do now, how he must act. He looks down at Harry while he morphs himself into a dutiful prince. "If I must, then I shall have your word that this never leaves past these walls, that it shall only unveil after the light in our eyes has dimmed. I need your word, Omega, and this is not your husband speaking, I need to be the future heir of Enshire at the moment, and I, William the II, Duke of Yenshai and the rightful heir to the throne, demand your oath of secrecy."
