Luna's POV

Our beautiful pastel emerald colored door glowed in the night, as the light from inside shined underneath it, peeking through. The whole walk back home from the river Bruno hugged me closely to him to keep me warm and apologized for not thinking this part through. It was adorable and I couldn't help but giggle. It really wasn't that cold tonight but I wasn't about to complain about him showing me so much concern and affection.

Bruno pushed the door open for me and I immediately went over to the fire, taking a seat in front of it's warm flames. Thank heavens for Maria and her proactive self, I sighed.

"What happened to you two?", María laughed from the sofa.

"Do we really want to know...", Lo's sarcastic tone answered her.

"I'm sure you'll hear about it from the town gossip later.", I scoffed, hoping I'd be wrong for once.

"Oh man... That bad?", María's face looked apologetic.

"I wouldn't say it was bad...", Bruno chimed in with a coy remark, making Lo laugh.

"Well the boys are in bed so you can thank us later. Have fun you two....", María winked at us as they disappeared out the door.

"Oh we will.", it was almost whispered out of Bruno's lips. I rolled my eyes to myself as I rubbed my hands over my legs in front of the fire. A pair of gentle hands began to slowly pull at the ties of my shirt. I shot him a look over my shoulder, making him laugh.

"I just want you to get out of these wet clothes, mi vida. I'll grab you a blanket and something else to wear.", he found my reaction amusing but I actually think he meant it when he said he took this 'job' seriously.

He carefully pulled each piece of clothing off of me and placed the blanket from the sofa over my shoulders. I watched as he walked off towards the bedroom, pulling his own shirt over his head as he turned into it. When he came back out he had fresh clothes on and carried a set of mine in his arms.

"I thought you said I won't need those.", I teased.

"Don't tempt me, amor.", his eyebrow raised as if he was deciding whether to hand me my clothes or not.

I looked at the items he picked out for me. They barely counted as clothes. I smiled and rolled my eyes, grabbing them from him. He walked off into the kitchen and I could hear him grabbing a plate and working on something as I got dressed.

"Hungry?", he held a plate down to me. He really is dotting on me tonight but why..

"Um thank you?", I took the plate with the leftover empanadas on it, as he sat down by the fire with me, pulling my back into his chest. He rested his cheek against my head and sighed.

"Didn't you want some?", I held one out to his face.

"Oh, I'll have my snack in a minute.", he chuckled under his breath.

We sat there in silence for a while, listening to the crackling of the fire. His hands stroked my arm as I lay curled in his chest.

"Bruno..", I took a deep breath, ".. You haven't said anything, at all about it. Por favor...". I needed to hear his thoughts on Diego. Of course he was happy and his little performance at the river only proved that but I didn't want him to feel like he couldn't speak his mind to me about this.

"Mi vida... calma. I'm sorry you ever felt like this was something you couldn't tell me. You had no reason to worry about that, at all. The moment he stepped out and I saw him, I loved him, instantly. I saw myself looking back at me. Only, he's perfect, mi corazón." He hugged me closer to his chest.
