Malfoy entered in the living room all dressed up, coat and all, I frowned at seeing him already dressed, but shrugged and focused back on the Daily Prophet I was reading.
Neve had brought it earlier today and since Malfoy was still asleep in his room, I just decided to read it while I drank the dark coffee, I made for myself. There wasn’t anything much relevant, no news about the building explosion made by the Masked Death, they did find a few more causalities but nothing else had been mentioned.
I slowly took a sip from my coffee and I felt something being dropped against my lap and almost spitted everything out.
“What the fuck?” I asked exalted.
I glanced down at the coat on my lap, Malfoy was besides the couch, arms crossed over his chest and a smirk played over his lips.
“Dress yourself, we are going somewhere.” He said amusingly.
I let out a huff and place my mug in the table in front of me. “Did you really had to be that aggressive with the coat?” I asked forthright.
He shrugged with a grin in his lips. “Yeah, I did.” He mocked.
I rolled my eyes. “Where are we even going?” I asked as I stood up and put in my coat and carefully buttoned it all the way up.
“A place.” He replied vaguely.
I gave him one of my looks. “Seriously. Already like this so early in the morning.” I sighed.
“I’m a morning person.” He said.
“No, you’re not.” I stated.
He shook his head. “No, I’m not.”
I neared him with my coat all buttoned up. “Weren’t we supposed to be looking for ways to kill Voldemort or something?” I raised an eyebrow.
His smirk flattered a bit. “We will, but not today.” He stated and begun walking towards the door.
“Why? Because it’s Christmas. You really are a fucking child.” I grumbled.
He stopped his motion of opening the door to turn to me. “Thank you for the compliment.” He said sardonically.
I shook my head disappointedly. At this point I just saved my words instead of arguing.
We stepped outside the house, everything was covered in snow, and the sky looked so peaceful, the clouds so still and clear, they covered all of the endless shade of blue but they made me feel like I was in a canvas, as there was white all over me.
I walked in front of Malfoy as he closed the door, I begun turning for the right, to take the usual path, if we were going somewhere we need to cross the-
Malfoy grabbed my hand and pulled me in the opposite direction, at the left side of the house.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Taking us to the place.” He replied and then glanced over his shoulder at me. “Thought that was obvious.”
I rolled my eyes and quickened my pace so I would be walking besides him instead of being pulled.
I immediately untangled our hands.
I had my full focus and gaze roaming all the forest, it was just the same as the other side though, full of tress and animals, yet I was contemplative staring at everything the same.
How come I never tried to explore this side of the forest before?
This side of the forest felt both similar and distant from the other. There were the tress and the animals such as the other side, yet there wasn’t anything familiar in it, it could almost be like a maze, because I would definitely get lost in here by my own.
