PETER'S POINT OF VIEW

Gwen put it on a cheap cliché thriller and started watching it intently, getting scared at every textbook jump scare.

But all I could do was watch her; her laugh; the way she peeks over her hoodie sleeve as she half hides her face from the screen; the tapping of her foot on the carpet. She's my idea of an angel- clever as the devil and twice as pretty, sitting with her knees pulled up to her chest on the floor beside me.

And this moment will live on forever in my head.

The movie rolled to credits and I hadn't paid attention to one minute of it. "Ughhh, that was so good." Gwen sighed. "Here, can I see?" I hit the search bar after she slid me the laptop and entered "Spotify". After a quick sign in, I was able to find my playlist and I hit shuffle.

Romance Is Boring by Los Campesinos! started to play.

"Dance with me." I stood up and held out my hand for her. She took it and I flashed her a winning smile. We danced and pretended to scream the lyrics at each other.

Fireside by Arctic Monkeys played next, and funnily enough we could relate to the lyrics.

"There's all those places we used to go // and I suspect you already know // But that place on Memory Lane you liked // Still looks the same but something about it's changed."

And our night carried on forever, dancing and singing along to all my favorite songs, singing to each other, until we fell over from laughter.

We lay on the floor for hours, talking.

"Peter," she said, breaking the short silence, "do you think I should have ignored being SpiderGwen? And like, focused on doing something productive? I mean, we're just kids. We aren't supposed to be heroes."

I sat up and turned to her. "Gwen, I think morally we did the right thing. Even if it fucked us up along the way, and we lost people we loved. But I get it. It's unfair we weren't somewhere misbehaving like teenagers should have been." I stared into her watery blue eyes, her face upside down from me. A single tear escaped her eye and I kissed it away.

She'll forever say, "I got this", even with tears in her eyes.

I bent down closer to her face, even if it is upside down I don't care. I placed a quick kiss on her nose and smiled at her. "Let's go to the roof," I said, standing. The sun was almost up. She smiled and stood, grabbing my hand harshly and pulling me out the window to the fire escape.

"RACE YOU!" she yelled, grinning widely. I gave a shocked face. "Hey, no fair you got out first!" I mocked anger but ran after her onto the steps anyway. We bolted to the roof and she stood waiting for me. "You are so slow, Spiderman." she smirked.

"Oh really? How's this for slow?" I said, dashing in front her and picking her up by he legs, giving her a piggyback ride. She laughed heartily and screamed. "Wooo!!" she hollered, arms holding tight around my neck.

I ran from one edge of the roof to another and stopped suddenly, remembering my web shooters were still on. I shifted her to my chest and rolled up my sleeves as much as I could while holding on to her. "What is it?" she asked, her smile fading into a puzzled look.

I grinned inwardly. "Do you trust me?" I whispered gruffly. She cocked her head and said, "Uh...sure?" and looked behind her.

I was standing parallel to the building's edge. "Peter, what-"

I cut her off by leaping off the building's edge and swinging to the next tallest building, all the way to a big tower with an A, and after a bit of swinging, Gwen stopped screaming and just gasped every time the swing got bumpy.

"What's this tower?" I asked her.

"Avengers Tower. It's this big group of superheroes, most powerful in the world or something like that." she said, her windblown black hair [doing a AU Gwen] flowing in the breeze. We clung to the angled wall and panted. "Wait, wait, Avengers? That was the band that the youngest one was talking about! So it's like the government of superheroes?" I asked, my mouth gaping. Gwen giggled and nodded.

"You thought it was a band??" she asked between laughs.

I gave her a surprised smile. "Yeah! He made it sound like it was a boy band!" I snickered at myself. She laughed at me and leaned against the slanted wall and I turned to her. She smiled at me and sighed. "What am I gonna do with you?"

The way she said it didn't sound like a question, but more of a longing statement.

And as if James had been listening, the big screen across from us lit up with a large image of James Jonah Jameson's face.

"Oh no, he's here, too?" I groaned. He was the worst possible news.

"Breaking news folks! It seems the SpiderMenace, SpiderGwen, has a new sidekick! He was seen tonight in an almost identical suit, fighting off Wilson Fisk. What does this mean for New York? Could it be double the trouble? Find out later on JJJ at Home."

And with that the screen cut to an advertisement.

"So, that's not good. There will be a...certain, uh... lawyer, after you. Not in a bad way." she groaned, leaning her head against the wall. "It's  better we just go see him now, before he has to find us."

"Any chance- any chance he's blind? Named,  uh Stuntman, or something like that?" I asked, recalling the man from Peter 1's universe.

"Daredevil. That's him." she sighed, clinging on to me. "Let's go home and suit up and we'll pay him a visit."

I launched off the side of the building and swung back to Gwen's apartment.
