The next day I received a call from the police captain about a mutant man roaming about the city. When I got a location, I hopped out of bed and slipped into my spider suit. I took a deep breath and unlocked my door, opening it up and stepping out.

Peter sat on the couch in his suit, sipping a coffee. "You ready to catch that mutant?" he smiled, standing.

"How did- How did you know?" I observed.

He pulled out his phone from his pocket and showed me the screen- it seemed to be a live listen-in on the police radio. "I was able to hack into the Oscorp cell towers and get feedback from this universe, too."

I opened up the window and we crawled out onto the rusted steel fire escape. "Isn't that illegal?" I smirked. He just chuckled and nodded. ''Yep, very. You should try it sometime."

We swung out toward the Financial District and landed near the red and blue flashing police lights. They were hiding behind their police car doors, firing occasional shots at the man in a red tuxedo. His head poked out when he saw Peter and I land on streetlights opposite each other. Not a human head; not even human-like in the least. It was an Egyptian jackal sarcophagus, but it moved just like a jackal's face. It wasn't a mask; that was his face.

"The SpiderMan has a new sidekick! Replacing Gwen so quickly, eh?" His maniacal cartoony voice hissed. I gave Spider a quizzical look and he just groaned. "Ugh! Not you again!" Peter seethed, shooting webs at his chest. Jackal giggled and fell to the floor, but quickly restored himself to standing.

I shot a web out of each arm to the floor beside him, grabbing a hold of the strings. With this tether, I launched myself at him, kicking him down in the center of his chest. I webbed his hands down. "What's your name, Spider Jr.?" he cackled maniacally.

Peter landed next to me. "Not that it's any of your business," Peter said between webs as Jackal tried to break free, "but she's SpiderGwen." he smirked, immobilizing Jackal with webs.

"G-Gwen?" Jackal murmured, his face softening. "H-how..?" he trailed off as the police came to arrest him.

Peter sighed and turned to me. 'We need to talk."

'Lunch?'
