Three years later

"Jeon jiwoo." Jimin exclaimed in anger. His two year old was being a hassle. Since morning, he refused to eat because his favorite show wasn't airing today. Jimin sighed for the hundred time before running behind jiwoo with the food bowl.

"Caught you!" Jungkook announced picking up the two year old swiftly before he could escape. The father booped his nose lightly making jiwoo smile widely.

"Listen to mama, okay?" He said earning a hesitant nod from the toddler.

Jimin smiled seeing his son. He started feeding jiwoo. He was tough to handle sometimes but that doesn't mean jimin can let him starve. He tries everything he can to make Jiwoo eat.

"Do you know what day it is, jiwoo?" Jungkook asked the child who was munching on his food with big doe eyes.

Jiwoo shook his head. He could understand most of the words his parents used but he wasn't old enough to talk. He could still utter a lot of words, just not clear enough.

"It's your Noona's birthday." Jimin replied keeping the empty bowl down. Jungkook glanced at his wife. Jimin was smiling.

"Noona?" Jiwoo was confused. He didn't know who that was. He has heard about this noona many times but hasn't seen her.

"Yes baby, your noona. We will see her today." Jungkook answered the child's curiousity. Jiwoo turned to his mother who was unusually silent. He struggled in his father's hold trying to get to jimin. He managed to break free from jungkook and walked up to jimin. The little boy looked at his mother's gloomy expression not knowing why he was sad.

"Mama." He called earning jimin's attention. The mother put on a bright smile and picked him up. Jiwoo returned the smile. His bunny teeths were in display making him look exactly like soohee when she was of his age. They were the splitting image of each other.

"Let's meet your noona today, okay?" Jimin said.

"Okay!" Jiwoo exclaimed in excitement. He was excited to meet his noona. The child has always been adventurous. He wasn't shy to meet new people, he actually enjoyed meeting new people.

"Okay, let's go." Jungkook said.

___

"Go ahead, I will come with jiwoo after I park the car." Jungkook insisted. Jimin didn't deny, he made sure jiwoo was buckled properly to his baby seat before he left.

"Soohee, mom is here. Did you miss me?" Jimin muttered, his hands caressing the name plate of the grave.

The mother lingered his gaze over the grave. Nothing has changed. The dead don't move, it's really true.

Time passed rather quick with the arrival of Jiwoo in their lives. And maybe really he was filling the void in their lives. But soohee is still living in their hearts. Jimin really didn't want to cry, but how can he help himself when he was attacked by all those sweet memories of his daughter.

She was the light of his life. Soohee might not be here anymore, but for jimin she is his daughter, forever.

"Your brother is growing well. And just like you said, he has taken after your father." Jimin continued.

Jimin visits soohee's grave quite often. He talks to soohee, informing her of the all events happening in their lives.

"Jiwoo can say your name now, baby. Isn't that lovely?" Jimin questioned. He knew he wouldn't get a reply, he didn't expect one in the first place.

"You are watching us, aren't you?" Jimin asked. He believed soohee was with them watching them. He has kept her alive in his heart all this time.

Of course soohee must be watching, she said it herself. Months before she fell unconscious, she said it all the time that no matter what happens, she will always watch them. Soohee was well aware of her condition, and even though everyone was cheering her up at that time. Deep within she knew she won't stay for long.

She was young but she had the knowledge about dead and alive. And for a fact she knew she wasn't going to live forever. She kept quite about it. She had witnessed her parents breaking down from the time it was discovered that she had cancer. She didn't know how much damage it could cause but seemingly it wasn't small.

Soohee was welcoming of her pain. One thing she couldn't endure was seeing her parents cry. Even in pain, she maintained her smile without anyone noticing how the little girl was crumbling down inside.

"Is this noona?" Jiwoo asked jungkook as they stood in front of the grave. Jungkook let jiwoo down and crouched down himself beside jimin.

"Yes baby, this is your noona." Jimin replied. They knew Jiwoo can't understand. But they wanted jiwoo to know about his noona who was such a beautiful girl.

"Hello noona! I am Jiwoo. I am two years old and I like chocolate cake!" Jiwoo said. Jimin and jungkook glanced at each other in surprise. Jiwoo was actually talking to her. They knew jiwoo had no idea about death. But he was so innocent.

"Mama, why isn't noona talking?" He asked. Jimin could only shake his head. Jimin ruffled the boys hair.

"Soohee, appa is here. I didn't work overtime, baby. Are you happy?" Jungkook mumbled. Jiwoo watched his father talk. And the ambience had the child keep quite. No he wasn't intimidated or anything. He just found it strange seeing his parents. But honestly even his childish mind didn't wanna interrupt them.

"I hope you're proud of me, baby. Appa is always with you." Jungkook said with a smile. He placed his hand on the grave briefly before glancing at jimin who was silently staring at the grave.

The cold wind was freezing. It was middle of September and the weather was quite chilly. Jimin turned his attention back to jiwoo. The mother engulfed jiwoo in his embrace protecting him from the cold.

Jungkook helped him stand up. It was time to leave finally. Jungkook took jiwoo from jimin and walked ahead. Jimin for a moment didn't want to leave but he knew the past can't hold him back. His son needs him. And he knows soohee wanted that too.

Jimin glanced at the grave for the last time before slowly walking away.

I love you, mom.

Jimin turned back immediately. What was that voice? Was he the only one who heard that?

It was soohee for sure. Jimin looked around so desperately but there wasn't anyone here. His eyes fell on the grave again reminding him soohee wasn't here.

With a heavy heart he left but he left with a smile. That might be his mind playing tricks but honestly he wanted to believe it was soohee. It could be. Who knows? After all she promised to stay with them.
