The Gathering

Third person pov:

It was June, 1953. It had been a few weeks after the coronation and Elizabeth and Philip were in their private apartments in Buckingham Palace waiting for the nanny's to bring the children for some family time. Then when they were listening to the radio a bright light came up behind them and they disappeared.

Princess Margaret was sitting in her room drinking, thinking about going to Scotland to be able to get married to Peter Townsend.

It was 1981, before Prince Charles and proposed to Diana. They'd only been on a few dates and Diana was sitting in her flat waiting for her friends to get home while watching television. Then a blinding white light engulfed her and she disappeared.
Prince Charles was at some opera and he got up to go to the toilet. When he was washing his hands the same white light came and blinded him through the mirror before he disappeared.

Camilla was at some event with her husband and when she got home she went upstairs and a bright light took her away.
Princess Anne was out riding when the same thing happened to her.

They all slowly started to stir awake only to find that they were in a dark room sitting in chairs. They all started to panick when writing appeared on the screen in front of them.

Please don't panick you won't be hurt, you're just here to see into some of your futures.

Everyone looked around in confusion after they finished reading the text. Then all of the people from 1981 froze to stare at the other people in the room in shock. Mostly because it felt as though they've just been through a time machine. Charles and Anne looked at the younger version of their parents in bewilderment.

While the people from 1953 just figure they were staring at them like that because they were the royal family. Although Elizabeth and Philip couldn't shake the feeling that they knew two of the people in the crowd that was staring at them in shock.

"Am I hallucinating or is everyone else seeing this?" Anne asked still in shock. Charles then realized that his sister was also wherever they had been taken and turned his shocked gave onto her.

"You're not hallucinating" a shy voice said in the back of the group. Charles turned around to see that it was Diana, and of all the people she was standing right next to Camilla.

Anne looked back at Diana and then swallowed and muttered under her breath, "great".

Then to top it all off Philip decided to jump in and say, "look I get that you all might be shocked to see the royal family, but honestly it's rude to continue staring" he said obviously annoyed.

That only made them even more shocked, causing them to stare even more. "Oh for gods sake" Philip muttered while rolling his eyes and looking away.

Then another line of text appeared on the screen again.

Please sit down, all will be explained once you're all seated.

"At least it said please" Anne said while rolling her eyes and going to take a seat. Everyone stared at her mouths agape when she sat in the chair like it was nothing. "What" Anne said after inhaling through her nose making it obvious that she was annoyed.

"What do you mean what? You have no idea what could've happened once you sat down. We've all just been kidnapped and you're just doing what that ominous writing tells you to" Margaret said in a matter of fact-ly tone. Anne just rolled her eyes and explained "well if it was a trap then something would've happened. Also you're right we were kidnapped and you don't know what they'll do to you if you don't cooperate"

Everyone then slowly inched their way back to the seats and sat down. Then the writing appeared again to explain some of the events.

First of all, you're not being kidnapped.

"Well that's comforting" were heard from two different people, those people being Prince Philip and Princess Anne.

Now for those of you who are from 1953, you are all from the past.

At this everyone from that time period gasped and looked around in shock. But before anything could happen the screen started up again.

And those of you from 1981 are technically also from the past it's just a more recent past.

Now you'll all be reacting to your future and what's to come.

At this everyone gasped in shock. 'How is this even possible' was the thought that was running through everyone's heads. But they decided not to say anything out loud because they were all still scared for their safety because they were all either extremely rich or literal royalty.
