I sat next to Thomas fidgeting my fingers nervously.Eduardo's piercing gaze studied me. "Why was your father attacking you and your sister?" He asked. "Mother died when I was born and he blamed my sister and I. He abused her immediately and started abusing me when I turned 4." I said turning my head away. "Why the hell didn't she fight back?!" He yelled. "Father, according to Aya, used to be so nice and caring. She spent 12 years with that father. Aya still thinks she can bring him back." I said sadly. Christopher came out with a smile. "She is going to be okay but she is in a temporary coma." He said. I jumped up and hugged him. "Thank you!" I said. He pat my head. "Who do you want to stay with for the night?" He asked. I tilted my head and thought. Not Eduardo. To scary. Nathan? Nah he doesn't really talk and he seems kinda scary. Captain? Hmm no I don't want to be a nuisance. Russell? I don't think he likes me very much. Thomas? He seems the nicest but he probably doesn't want me bothering him... "C-can I stay in the infirmary with Aya?" I asked hesitantly. Christopher smiled understandingly. "No problem lets go." he said taking my hand. We walked into the infirmary and I flinched seeing Aya's bruised face. I sat down on the chair near her and put my head on the bed. The infirmary was dark and quiet except for Aya's hoarse breaths. "Wake up soon K? Remember our pinky promise. Us until the very end!" I said smiling softly before drifting off to sleep.
