Chapter Four: Keeping it undercover

Having a bad day is a complete disaster. People will notice that you are pissed, mad and upset. Bad day means hating everyone who thinks that you are acting weird because you don't want them to know why are you feeling insane. But since Sam is a person who doesn't want to give her emotions out, she chooses to be her as naturally as possible. She thinks this through this morning and decided that she'll just act normal but she won't give any attention or word to the people will surely approach her, Carly and Freddie. She will act like nothing happened yesterday.

"Brinngggggg" The first bell rang and the students started to walk to their classes. Sam is standing in front of her locker ready to go to class but suddenly bumped in to her best friend.

"Hey Sam, I'm sorry about Freddie he is just too caught off guard yesterday. I'm sure he doesn't mean everything that he said". Carly talked to her best friend for the first time this day. But Sam just stared at her giving her a poker face and decided to walk away.

"Well that was not normal" Freddie walk towards Carly alerted that Sam just past by her not saying a word.

"Yeah it is not! Wanna know why? Because SOMEONE said something stupid about her yesterday!" Carly responded in her very mad tone.

"I don't even know why I said that, It just.... Came out" Freddie said very guilty about what he did.

"I tried telling that to her, but guess what happens? She just walk past me without even saying a thing!" She said.

"Is that bad? Girls do that right?" Freddie replied.

"Yes, girls do that! And when they start doing it that means they don't want to speak with you anymore! So that is BAD. But not until you feel sorry for what have you done" Carly stated.

"Okay, so you think I can just apologize to her and it will be normal again?" he asked.

"Well, when it is Sam....NO! You have to do a lot of this besides that! She will make you jump off a cliff or something. So that means it will not come back to what it used to! I mean, Come on! Even a girl like me can't forget you easily. Do you think calling a girl the WORST PERSON EVER EXISTED is alright? Do you think a girl deserves that? NO ONE DESRVES those Freddie not just women" Carly said very worriedly. She knows Sam to well and she knows that it won't be the same after yesterday.

"I'm Sorry I didn't mea...." Freddie tried but Carly did not let him.

"NO! Don't apologize to me, apologize to her. I don't need that, she does!" Carly interrupt.

"Well, How Am I suppose to do that? You just gave me a speech about how difficult it is to deal with when it comes to Sam" Freddie said in a tone that Carly don't understand.

"You must figure it out yourself. I won't give any ideas because I don't have one. I am going to be late, see you later Freddie" Carly waved goodbye to her best friend.

Freddie did not actually mean everything he said yesterday. He had just been carried away with the event that happened. 'Who wouldn't say that words to her if she did not pick or hit me in the first place?' he thought to himself. Argh! But why did he feel guilty about what he had done? It is very confusing.

"GO TO CLASS!" He was interrupted through his thoughts by Mr. Howard yelling at him.

"Sorry" he mange to say but didn't meant it.

He walks straight to class and he's been greeted by several hot girls through the door.

"Hey There Freddie" a white chick approach him and blocking his way to get in class.

"Oh hey, excuse me I really need to take a seat" he said not really paying attention to what the girl is doing.

"Oh is that what you want?" the girl replied in a flirty voice.

"Uhmm.... I guess?" Freddie responded finally coming through his mind that the girl is flirting with him.

"Oh well, here you go" she said opening her right arm to lead his way to his sit.

"K, Thanks" Freddie said, not caring at all. He finishes his way to his seat but then the girl sat on his table crossing her legs and trying to have a conversation with him. He is in shock, of course.

"So, I heard that you are being a bad boy now huh?" the girl asks him with matching eyebrow arch.

"I am not sure about what you mean" Freddie said confusedly.

"I heard that you have an argument with Sam just earlier" His eyes opened wide when he heard what that girl said. "I guess you are the first person who can say that to her without having to go to the hospital" the girl continued.

"Oh, we just have a misunderstanding. No big deal" He tried to answer.

"Well Whatever. So, you want to hang out sometimes?" her hand going on Freddie's arm, rubbing it up and down.

"Ahh.. I think that not a good idea, but I'll think about it?" he replied.

"Alright, Call me?" making a phone with her fingers.

"I guess"

"K" she said while standing up on his desk and immediately putting her mouth over his ear and whispered "Damn, you are hot".

"Okay, Class Settle down" Ms. Hollowware said before Freddie could reply to the girl he's having a conversation with. Lucky Freddie!

The day went well for Sam. She just exactly did what she wants. She did not even say a word to Freddie and Carly. She tried her best not talk to them especially Freddie, having a feelings for him and not talking to him wasn't a very good mixture. Earlier that day she has seen this chick talking to him though! Well, not only talking but flirting, FLIRTING. That is the only thing that makes her day a little awful. 'Arggh, why is my life had to be a living hell!' she said to herself. She manages to shrug it off for a little while until she is ready to tell him what she really feels. Going back, she thinks about what he had said and makes it as an inspiration to make her plan work. What Freddie said really hurt her in ways that no one would understand (add the event that happened with that stupid chick) but that won't stand up as a reason for her to just cut off. She likes Freddie and she is now sure of it, thinking about him and his stupid words makes her lose control but she won't let that happen and a one good solution is for her to just accept it. Accept what really she really means to Freddie. It damn hurts to think about it, but you know what they say. Curse that people!

On the other hand, Freddie's day didn't go well. After that incident that just happened on his first period shock him. But then, after that girl flirt with him, a lot of girls start to do it to. It bothers him so bad. Like this girl on the cheerleading group. She approaches him on the bleachers of Ridgeway by hitting on him. Crap! That girl just blow Freddie's mind off. Yeah, that girl is physically gorgeous but she just seems too desperate. Freddie might be a dork but he is not like the other dorks on their school, girls are not the first priority for him, at least if he has a girlfriend but he doesn't have so that things really make sense now. For him, the fact that girls are starting to like him just because of what he had done yesterday is awkward and horrible. Who would not think it's horrible? People will just like you for what you have done not for who you are? It's sick! Or maybe Flirty and Popular girls just not fits to his personality.

Carly and Freddie did not see Sam after school and that just gives them a hint that they should just let her be. Just for the day though. They didn't want their best friend to be miserable for the rest of her life because of them. As soon as the problem is not that fresh, maybe they could talk about it then. They pass on the eight floor hallway of Bushwell Plaza and start opening their doors and wave bye. Carly went to shower just to clear her mind with the things that is going on lately. And Freddie lay down in his bed (not bothering to change clothes) and stared at the ceiling thinking things through. He doesn't know what to do with Sam. He can't just say the word 'Sorry' because it would not help at all. He still needs plans and equations to do. He keeps groaning every single minute because his mind is shut. No ideas would come up. That's why he just decided to sleep and hopefully when he came back to earth he could think of something.
