Chapter 20

3rd Person's POV

"Now, what is that one thing you wanna take?" Mirabel asked Lero who just looked at her. He was about to say something when Mirabel threw a kick on his direction, but Cesar immediately took an action and blocked her attack. "Not so fast, Ms. Mirabel " Cesar said and kicked Mirabel but she blocked it immediately, pushing her a few feet away. This caught the family's attention. Mirabel wiped her arms and made a 'tch' sound. "You bastard! How dare you hurt my cousin?" Camilo said angrily and was about to head to them but stopped when Lero's gremlins began rising again. 

"Care to have our second match right now?" Cesar asked Mirabel while smirking but the family just became more confused. "What does he mean?" Dolores asked that made Bruno and Agustin sweat. "Well, now's not the time for that. Looks like we got some business here" Luisa said that made both Agustin and Bruno relax a bit. 

"Sure, I'll beat you this time" Mirabel said proudly and ran to Cesar who did the same. Some men also started to launch their attack on the family and again, the men member of the family stepped forward with Luisa and surprisingly Dolores and Isabela. They are not sure of what are they gonna do though but one thing is sure for them, that is they sure wanna protect the family. 

Cesar grabbed knives out of his pocket again but Mirabel just smirked. "I see. Trying to cheat again?" Mirabel asked loudly and ducked to avoid one knife and tried to kick Cesar's face but the lucky bastard man blocked it and swung at Mirabel's face that she again able to dodge. 

'Mirabel...... thank you' Alma thought while watching the girl who she used to be hard on, because she doesn't have a gift. They continued fighting as she smiled at the sight of how Mirabel and the others are trying to protect their family but that smiled disappeared when Cesar managed to stab Mirabel's left arm. "MIRABEL!" she yelled that made the others also look at Mirabel's direction.

"I'm fine" Mirabel said and took the knife out without hesitating and threw it on Cesar who happened to have his guard down. The same knife also pierced through Cesar's leg. They both groaned and Mirabel took a piece of her skirt and quickly strapped her arm to stop the bleeding. She immediately ran to him and took the chance to punch him as hard as she can on his leg and she heard little sounds of his bone cracking.

Cesar yelled out in pain but Mirabel didn't stopped. She then again grabbed the knife out of Cesar's hand and brutally pierced it through his other leg that made him cry even more. Mirabel did admit that what she did was kinda out of hand but she can't think of any other way to put Cesar aside. Mirabel catching her breathe, and was about to knock Cesar out with a punch when some man  punch her on the side making her step back. "You seem fun to fight to, little girl" the man around Isabela's age said and was about to punch Mirabel again but she just 'tch' and kicked the man on the face, quickly knocking him out. "Shut up" she said and groan when she felt a stinging on her arm. 

On the hand, though Dolores and Isabela don't know how to fight, they managed to help the others like pulling the enemy's hair when they are too focused on their own fight to distract them. The others took that opportunity and they would punch the enemy in the face to knock them and the both girls would buy some time so the others can tie the enemy to stopped respawning again. "Take that!" Isabel said and kicked the tied men and high five Dolores. "We were awesome" Dolores said and wiped her sweats. "Yeah right-" she said but was cut off when she realized that some toned man was about to punch the old hag- I mean Alma. The others are still fighting so she ran to them and blocked the man making her the one to receive the punch. 

Hitting her on the stomach, she collapsed to the ground and spat out blood. This caught the family's attention and loose focus on the battle. Lero's gremlins took the upper hand and managed to hit the men member of the family and Luisa at the same time. Luisa, Agustin, Bruno, Felix and Camilo groaned when they all received a critical hit. Mirabel looked at the scene and was about to go to them when she felt pain all over her body due to the hits she received.
