"Maggie, what's wrong?" Derek asked and squeezed Meredith's heart tighter

"Mer, your heart rate, your blood pressure- it's all dangerously high. There's a murmur on your heart, I wanna admit you for the safety" Magie explained

"No. I need to go home" Meredith shook her head sternly

"You're staying here" Derek said sternly

"Derek-" Meredith argued

"No. You are gonna listen to Maggie" Derek frowned softly as he looked her into her eyes "Please"

"But Ellie-" Meredith looked away from them

"I got this Mer and I can always ask Zola if she can help out a little" Derek said

"If everything goes okay you can be released at the end of the week" Maggie jumped in

"Can- Can you take her here after her program?" Meredith asked Derek

"Of course. Maybe I can bring us some dinner" He climbed in next to her

"I think I'll sleep" Meredith announced but closed her eyes before Derek could even respond

"I'll tell the kids" Derek sighed and stepped out of the room. He walked over to the attendings' lounge where he saw Zola sitting down and reading an article

"Hi dad!" Zola smiled as she saw her father entering

"Zola, can you page Bailey please?" Derek asked

"Of course" Zola nodded but frowned "Dad, what's wrong?" She asked concerned

"Zo, I'll explain once Bailey's here" Derek said

A few minutes later Bailey walked in

"Zo, did you need me?" He asked

"Guys I need to talk to you" Derek sighed "It's about mom"

"What's wrong with mom?" Zola asked concerned

"Mom is admitted, her heart.." Derek started and saw the scared glances of their kids "She'll be okay but she needs rest, we need to monitor her-" Derek said

"What room?" Bailey asked sternly

"Bailey-" Derek tried to calm him down

"What room?" Bailey asked again

"2010" Derek sighed

Bailey nodded and quickly walked out of the room

"Dad, is mom really okay?" Zola asked in concern

"She is. Mom's just so stressed out with Ellis-" Derek shook his head

"Oh dad-" Zola pulled her dad in for a hug

Meanwhile Bailey ran into Meredith's room

"Mom!"

"Bailey?" Meredith woke up

"Mom, what's going on?" Bailey frowned with tears in his eyes

"Oh honey, come here" Meredith pulled him in for a hug "I'm okay. Maggie just wants to make sure I'm gonna be okay" Meredith kissed Bailey's forehead

"Why didn't you ask us for help?" Bailey asked

"Bails, I can take care of my kids" Meredith sighed

"You should have said something earlier" Bailey sighed

"I know" Meredith held his hand

"Mom?" They heard Zola's voice

"Hi honey" Meredith smiled

"How are you feeling?" Zola asked as she checked her mother's vitals

"I'm good honey" Meredith smiled "Is your father picking up Ellis?" She asked

"He is" Bailey confirmed

"Mom.. You know what caused this.. I can help" Zola offered

"Zozo, Ellie can be a handful but the program keeps her busy during the day and at night she's with me and dad. It's like going to work for her" Meredith explained

"Mom, we know and we would never ship off Ellie but maybe once a week she can stay with me or Zola so you and dad have time for yourself. That's important" Bailey sighed

"Bailey-"

"Mom, Bailey and I can take turns, it's a good idea!" Zola insisted

"We'll see but I think you'll really need to help out dad now. I'm going home as soon as I can but-" Meredith started, her heart monitor showing she was stressing herself out again

"Mom stop!" Bailey said in concern

"Of course we're gonna help dad. Me and Riley can sleep at dad's house tonight so we can help with Ellis" Zola offered

"Are you okay?" Bailey asked concerned

"I'm okay Bails. Thanks Zo" Meredith nodded as some tears escaped her eyes

"M-ommy!" They heard Ellis yell

"Hi Ellie" Meredith opened her arm so her daughter could hug her

"Ellie, I said you had to wait" Derek sighed

"It's okay" Meredith nodded at Derek

"Do you want some coffee?" Zola asked Derek

"I'd love that" Derek nodded his head

"Here honey, lay down" Meredkth scooted to the side so Ellis could join her

"D-addy say pain. You pain uh- heart" Ellis told her mother

"Auntie Maggie wants to keep an eye on my heart. Remember I need my pills? Well my heart will need some more meds, meds only doctors can give me here" Meredith tried to explain

"M-ommy kay?" Ellis frowned

"I'm okay" Meredith nodded

"Play! M-ommh play!" Ellis jumped up and pulled at her Mother's hand

"Ellis stop- Mom can't play now" Derek quickly stopped her daughter

"Not now Ellie" Meredith gave her an apolitical smile

"But- I wanna play!" Ellis frowned

"Come here, let's play together" Bailey gestured so Ellis would come to him

"M-ommy!" Ellis screamed

"Mommy can't play now!" Derek snapped

"Der-" Meredith frowned

"Bay? M-M-Mmm" Ellis struggled "M-Mommy!" She ran towards her mother and lanced herself on the bed

"Ellie, shh" Meredith wrapped her arms around her daughter, Bailey walking over to them to help

"I'm sorry princess. I'm really sorry" Derek tried but Ellis got hysterical which led into some body spasms

Meredith quickly got up, she pulled out her IV and helped as her daughter was having heavy spasms, she accidentally got hit a few times as she and her son tried to hold Ellis

"Shh Ellie. Daddy's so so sorry" Derek whispered as he held Ellis

"Nnnnnn" Ellis started slurring

"Another seizure" Meredith sighed and rolled Ellis on her side while Derek held her head, Meredith's heart monitor was beeping like crazy until Maggie ran in

"Meredith! I said you had to slow down" Maggie frowned and took her sisters' spot

Bailey wrapped his arms around his mother and put pressure on her arm as she was bleeding because she pulled out her IV

"Okay Ellie, there you go. It's over. You are such a brave girl. Mommy and daddy are here, we love you. Bailey is here as well and Zola is on her way" Derek whispered into Ellis' ears

I hope y'all enjoyed it. I got home from the hospital an hour ago but I'm very droopy and kinda in a lot of pain so I think this will be the only update today, glad I wrote this earlier hahaha
