StormCage was under attack.

This was my home. It wasn't a proper one, mind you, but it was the only one I ever had. And I was not going to let that go.

I ran out the door of the storage room, searching my memory for the route back to my cell. I started thinking aloud, "Left, right, skip a turn, right, up the stairs, one, two, third cell - right there!"

My mother was trying to open the cell door, looking very frustrated. I brought my foot up and kicked hard. I heard a loud pop that could have been my ankle and the door swung inward.

River gave me a questioning look. I raised my wrist to show her the device and answered with, "You gave me this - don't know when - prison under attack - let's go!"

That's when the gravity of the situation really occured to me. My skin was hot, my heart beating fast, a million thoughts running through my head. I smelled burnt metal and the explosions were getting increasingly loud, which did nothing to improve my panicked state.

River grabbed two guns that she had hidden under her bunk. I put my hand out for one. She saw my hand and shook her head no. I put on my stubborn face and nodded yes.

"You're leaving," she said sternly. "Now."
She reached for my wrist, so as to put in the last coordinate and to send me to Earth and relative safety, but I pulled away.

She looked at me, pain in her eyes, but I was more afraid for her than me. I couldn't let her die ou there. She was the only person I had.

"Berlin," my mother said quietly. "If you die, I will kill you."

I nodded, not believing I had won. She pulled me into a hug. It was a very nice hug, and I could feel her heart beating fast. As I pulled away she grabbed my wrist, entering the last digit.

The world went deadly hot and then sub zero. I cursed as the world suddenly became bright and I was standing on sand.

The air was hot. This phenomenon startled me, as you become accustomed to cold when living on a storm planet.

A creature appeared in front of me. It was tall, wearing a suit and had incredibly pale white skin. It appears to have only two deeply black eye sockets.

I backed away as quickly as I could looking down at my wrist. My mom had entered one digit wrong. I changed the digit to a three.

When the world turned upside right once more, I took in my surroundings. Tall buildings and bright cool sunlight combined with brisk air to create an atmosphere that felt...right. It felt home.

I was on Earth. I had relations here. I have a mission.

I needed to find my godmother. And with her help.

I was going to the Doctor.
