For who knows how long she has been standing in front of the chimney, staring up at the trophy that stood out in the living room, shining ever so brightly. Her smiles sticks like that for hours and her eyes are still sparkling, reflecting the shine from the trophy.

"Miss y/n." Felix calls her from behind.

No answer from her, slightly worrying Felix as she hasn't moved like a statue. He has been standing and watching y/n from behind without any words for almost half an hour now. He was about to call her again when the front door opens.

Y/n finally moves, excitedly turns her head towards her parents who're coming in.

"Mom!! dad!!" She sprints towards them and blocks their way. She ignores their cold eyes and announces,

"Look look over there!! I got a trophy!! I won archery in first place!!"

She jumps around, pointing at the chimney, feeling they will be shock by the news. But after a few minutes, her excitement slowly dies down, seeing no reaction at all.

"F*cking annoying. Move!!" He harshly pushes her and y/n hits the ground. She gets up and holds her mother's sleeve.

"but dad! Mom i-"

Before she knows it, she felt a sharp pain on her cheek. Her hands instantly loosen the grip as she touches her stinging cheek.

"How dare you to touch me." She sees her mother's glares, she feels shivers down her spine. Her eyes are bloodshot, full of... hatred and disgust. "You have the guts to lay a hand on me?!!"

She couldn't utter a word and only looks on the floor. She heard her father clicking his tongue before both of them left for their room.

Felix from afar can only watch the scene. If he interferes, he knew he will lose his job. Not that he prioritizes his work, he sincerely cares for y/n, he doesn't dare to leave her alone. He cares for her like she's his own grandchild.

Y/n doesn't know how to react, she feels overwhelmed by the incident. That's probably the first time she has ever made a physical contact with her mother, and to her unexpectedness, the reaction was harsh.

She feels herself shaking badly. She couldn't take the feeling and runs out of the house, ignoring Felix's call for her.

Jungwon is walking around the street after dropping by the store. Popsicle hanging on his mouth as his eyes wander around until it falls on someone. She caught his eyes cause she looks familiar.

"Y/n??"

He approaches the figure crouching under a tree, probably staring out of the grass field.

Y/n hears footsteps coming her way and looks behind. She was surprised to see Jungwon.

"Jungwon..." She whisper, not believing her eyes to see someone unexpected.

"Sightseeing?? What're you doing??" He asked her, and y/n wonders for a second before she nods slowly.

"Sightseeing... How are you??" She smiles widely, her feeling just suddenly brightens up upon seeing him. She feels as if the weight was lifted up from her.

But Jungwon just happen to notice a slight flaws in her bright cheerful face.

"Sit down sit down!!" She pats the spot beside her excitedly and fortunately, Jungwon obliged.
