"Y/n..."

He pulls the mic towards his mouth and looks into her eyes. Y/n grips her dress, nervous of what Sunghoon is going to say to her. She knows, all of his words are going to be nothing but scripted lies.

She has to play along and accept him in front of the guests. Everyone is watching, her parents are watching, the whole world is watching this.

"Here we go..."

"I..."

"I'm sorry, I don't feel the same."

The ballroom was filled with gasps. The guests is taken aback by Sunghoon's unexpected rejection. Y/n's eyes widen, also taken aback from the action.

What she expected; for him to play along and say sweet words before proposing to her, was instead replaced with a rejection.

She feels slightly awkward with it and looks at the guests and at her parents who are as shock as the rest.

"I don't want to marry you. I don't love you at all." Sunghoon continues and y/n looks at him.

"You're not my type, I cannot live my next days with you."

"PARK SUNGHOON!!" Mr Park yells from behind the stage.

"I love someone else." The guest gasps once again.

"I cannot ever love you. Ever." His words are harsh on her. She doesn't why he does that, but fortunately she isn't affected by it at all. Seeing his eyes, she can already see there's no such love for her.

She isn't hurt, but she is astonished. All the love he has, it's all for Ara obviously.

"I will not propose, or marry you Kang Y/n." He said and drops the mic to the ground before rushing down the stage. Y/n watches as he runs towards Ara. Everyone sees the sight and and starts whispering to each other.

"Park Sunghoon!!" Yells Sunghoon's parents at him as they see him going towards Ara.

Sunghoon takes Ara's hand and pulls her out of the ballroom, leaving everyone turning their attention towards y/n who's standing on the stage, frozen.

"MR PARK!!" She flinches hearing a loud yell from her father. Mr Kang comes up the stage furiously while having his bloodshot eyes glaring at Mr Park.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"

"Mr Kang let me explain-"

"YOU EMBARRASSED ME IN FRONT OF THE CROWD LIKE THIS!! YOU SAID THAT YOUR SON WILL TAKE CARE OF MY DAUGHTER BUT LOOK WHAT HAPPENED?!"

"Y/n, go and chase after him!!" Mrs Kang suddenly said and pushes y/n forward.

"W-what??" Stuttered y/n.

"Go and chase after Sunghoon!! Hurry before he gets away!! Go and talk to him!! You can't let him escape!!"

"B-but mom he said he loves someone else..."

"You've embarrassed me!! I've prepared this party for nothing!! What about our agreement for the emerge company huh?!"

"Mr Kang please let me explain. I will get my son, he wasn't in his right mind-"

"Shut up!! This is already bad enough that you ruin my reputation like this!! The whole world have seen this!! I'm ashamed of you!!"

"Fix this mess or else!!" Mr Kang threaten the Parks and walks away. "Let's go!" He said to his wife and both of them leave the ballroom, slamming the main door loudly in the end.
