"This cake is really good!!" Y/n compliments, taking another huge bite of the cake.

"I ordered the cake from the most well known patisserie in Korea." Y/n nods. Mr and Mrs Kang watch her and glance at each other.

Mr Kang clears his throat. "Now, how about we move on to the present?"

"Hm? Present? But all of this is already enough. You guys gave me everything that I thought it was too much..." She smiles with her messy face. Mr Kang replies with a small chuckle.

"This is the ultimate gift. And I'm sure you will be delighted to have it." The sound convinces her instantly. She gets highly curious to know what's the gift that sounds so special and big. What could it be??

Mr Kang joins his hands together, resting his chin on it. "Y/n, now that you're 18 years old... Your mother and I thought that you're finally ready."

"Ready?" Her heart is thumping in nervousness. Could it be he father is going to give her a car??

"We decided that you are ready to take over the company." She pauses for a second, the words echo in her ears but she couldn't comprehend the meaning.

"Take over... The company?? The enterprise?!!" She shouts, her eyes dilated like a balloon. Hee parents only smile at her proudly.

"You want me to take over the company... But, are you sure?? You trust me??" She doubts that she has ever impressed her parents on business, since she has never associated with that pathway at all.

"Of course! You are our daughter after all." It sets a weird sensation in her heart. She never knew her parents trusted her to the point of giving away the company her dad has worked hard to achieve to the highest place where he is now.

"Ah, it's not the main company you're taking over. I'll give you the enterprise in Japan."

Still, it's such a huge gift. She doesn't know what to say. Even though she has never thought of following her father's career path, but the encouragement her father is giving, and the trust he has for her, she couldn't just decline the idea.

"Watching you taking your private class. Your tutor told me that you are more than prepared to do it." He even praised her efforts in class, despite her ditching one. No wonder he applied her for that class. It was a test to see her credibility.

"Thank you so much dad!!" Mr Kang smiles widen.

"I knew you would like it." He said. Y/n can't hide the red cheeks. She feels so overwhelmed.

"Then, shall we get going??" Mr Kang takes out something from his pocket and pushes a car towards her on the table. Y/n looks down at it and her smile wavers.

"Huh? A passport??" She opens it to see it's hers. "It's mine??" She doesn't remember having a passport of her own, for her parents forbid her to go out further than her own local state.

Both Mr Kang smile. "Yes. You will head to Japan as soon as possible."

Her smile drops and she pauses for a moment. "W-what??"

"You are heading to Japan in two days."

"In two days? Wait..." She was too stunned to speak. She lets out a chuckle, thinking that this must be a joke.

"That's funny dad. I can't go to Japan now... That just means... You're giving me the inheritance now??" Her lips tremble seeing their expression don't change.
