The middle aged woman eyes both y/n and Jungwon back and forth. "Who is this??" She ends her gaze towards y/n, with a crashed eyebrow. Y/n gulps, thinking the woman, who is none other than Jungwon's mother, is displeased by her presence alone with Jungwon.

"Mom, this is-" Jungwon greets and introduces y/n. However, y/n cuts him off, standing up and bows herself down in front of her as a courtesy.

"I'm so sorry!! I'm a friend of Jungwon!! We did not do anything against your will Mrs Yang!!" She yells and Jungwon's eyes widen in disbelief. What on earth does she mean by doing things against his mother's will?!

"I dropped by because it was raining and didn't have an umbrella with me!! Jungwon welcomed me in and-" she suddenly gasps and looks at Jungwon.

"I didn't mean to blame you!! I was thankful and said things that came out of my head!!" She looks back and forth at Mrs Yang and Jungwon repeatedly in panic.

Mrs Yang eyes y/n, finding a familiarity from her. Her eyebrows are raised up when her bell rings.

"Are you y/n?? Mr Kang's daughter??" She said and y/n blinks, flustered that Mrs Yang knows her.

"You know me??" She stuttered, pointing at herself and Mrs Yang smiles.

"Of course. Who wouldn't know the young girl who won the international archery competition on tv??" She said and y/n feels her cheeks heating up, feeling shy.

"Also, my son has mentioned you a lot of times."

"Mom!!" Jungwon yells at her in disbelief and y/n turns to Jungwon with wide eyes.

"What?? I'm just telling the truth! I didn't know you two are acquaintances." She comes forward and y/n quickly shakes hands with her.

"We are studying in the same school mom, may I remind you..." Jungwon rolls his eyes, upset by his mom.

"I'm sorry for crashing in Mrs Yang. I promise you we did absolutely nothing!!" She raises her hand up as a swear and Jungwon yells at her from behind. "yah!"

"I sure hope so." Mrs Yang giggles and Jungwon was left in disbelief with these two women.

"Do you want me to call your parents y/n??" Mrs Yang suggested and y/n quickly shakes her head. "They're not home for a few days..."

"Oh? Then how about your maid or driver?? I will call them to pick you up." Y/n's smile slightly wavers, feeling an awkward atmosphere lingering in the room.

She's thinking that Mrs Yang is indirectly kicking her out of the house.

"Omo, don't misunderstand. I'm not trying to kick you out y/n." As if she has read her mind.

"I'm actually happy to be able to meet you in person. Based on what Jungwon has told me, you sound like a wonderful person." She smiles and Jungwon scoffs.

"I'm going to my room." He stands up and walks away, for he had enough of his mother exposing him further. Y/n's eyes follows him until he disappears from her sight.

"Take care of my son okay?" Mrs Yang suddenly whispers at her, causing her to flinch. She turns to Mrs Yang, seeing her smiling at her, making her blush.

What does she mean?? Is she supporting her?? She knows y/n likes Jungwon?? Does that mean she approves her??

Regardless of what the meaning, y/n nods at her timidly. Later then, she heads towards the door to take her leave. But she was stopped by Jungwon who was coming down the stairs.
