The King, Lialah, white knights and I all sat, watching and waiting as the sound of explosions rang out over the fields. Occasionally it sounded like thunder boomed from the opposite side of the castle. Lialah and I had questioned The King on what if could be but he said he had no clue. So we watched and waited and listened.

"The Four will be alright....won't they?" Lialah asked The King.

"Of course. They're my best fighters." he nodded.

The sky suddenly exploded with the sound of canons, causing us all to jump. I got to my feet, bracing myself on my sword as a large horse drawn carriage barreled it's way down the path further down. It had come from the backside opening of the castle and many horses were pulling it. It was obviously a royal carriage.

"Go." The King commanded to the white knights.

The white knights sped off after the carriage. The same boom sounded from earlier but from outside the castle and the sky burst with colors above the carriage as four meteors careened downwards towards it. The King's eyes narrowed when the four meteors landed ontop of the cart, smoke trailing from The Four.

"What are they doing?" I asked, watching in awe.

"Something's off..." The King mumbled softly.

"Come. Let's go." he waved his hand towards us and whistled.

His horse walked up and he gestured for us to come to him. I grunted softly as Lialah helped me over to the horse.

"I want you two to ride after that carriage. I'm going to scout the rest of the castle just in case" He commanded sternly.

"Y-Yes your Highness." I grunted.

I helped Lialah onto the horse and then managed to scramble onto it myself.

"hold onto me." I told her and then rode off after the carriage.

The King's horse was actually very fast, it caught up to the white knight and the carriage fairly fast. On top of the carriage The Four were fighting off Coneheads who had followed to protect the carriage.

"Xavier! What's wrong?!" I yelled.

"THEY'VE GOT ONE OF THE PRINCESSES!" He yelled, throwing a Conehead at one that was riding a horse still, knocking them both painfully to the ground.

"The princesses?" Lialah asked, concerned.

"I thought they were back at the castle." I growled softly.

The area around us slowly turned from beautiful, opened fields into a thick, dark covered forest. I narrowed my eyes, it was getting hard to see. I glanced upwards, thinking I saw shadows jumped through the trees. Sky shouted something as someone dropped swung down from the trees, a bomb dropping in the middle of The Four. The bomb was thrown off the carriage and exploded mid air, the boom echoing.

"G-Grey, d-do you hear that?" Lialah asked, sounding horrified.

"Hear what..?" I asked, riding faster.

"The boomi-" She began to say and was cut off by a monsterous roar.

I felt the hairs stand up on my neck and looked over my shoulder, a large beast emerging from the forest roared again and started chasing the carnage.

"C-CASTLE CRASHERS!" I yelled after The Four.

Blizzard impaled a Conehead, dropping him off the side of the carriage and looked at me, then past me and his face filled with terror.

"K-KNIGHTS! INCOMING!" He yelled to the others.

I leaned further against the horse and had it go faster, hearing the beast's steps getting closer and closer.

"B-BLIZZ WHAT DO WE DO?!" Zackery yelled over the beasts roar.

Blizzard stared at the beast, horrified and obviously not sure what to do. The beast was getting closer, I risked a glance back to see its large mouth open and closing in on Lialah and I. Its sharp teeth was littered with blood and helms from other knights. I felt myself become suddenly much more afraid of the possibility of being eaten. Suddenly...the sky exploded with light. I covered my eyes as a bright burst of lightning shot past us.  The beast roared in pain and a large thump told me it was gone. I looked up, Xavier and Zackery were in awe and Sky collapsed back on Blizzard, her armor smoking and crackling with the last of the lightning. Blizzard picked her up, holding her close. The driver of the carriage took a sharp turn into a wide open cave, the cieling low enough it caused The Four to tumble off of it, all of them falling to the ground, hard.
