The Thief walked into the tent, it had been hours that I'd been waiting for something interesting to happen, but all I had heard was some hushed conversations, people joking around and the same strange distant booming that seemed to be getting closer. She walked up to me, holding a small rectangle wrapped in a bit of animal hide.

"I...uh..brought you some food" she mumbled softly, now seeming shy.

"....uhm...thank..you?" I replied, still confused.

"u-uhm.." she mumbled something to herself and reached up, unlocking my wrist restraints and letting me go and then held up a hand to stop me from moving.

"eh?" I paused, confused.

She kneeled down and locked a chain around my ankle, the chain long enough for me to explore the room but not to leave the tent. I sighed. I looked down and saw her staring up at me.

"What?" Still mentally questioning why she kept watching me.

"c-could...you sit down?" She asked softly, holding the little leather pouch.

I shrugged and sat down in front of her. She was sitting on her legs so her knees were out in front of her. I sat cross legged in front of her still very confused. She handed me the pouch and watched me silently.

"...is this my last meal?" I asked softly.

"What do you mean?" She questioned gently.

"Like...are you guys about to execute me and steal my clothes and stuff?" I asked, becoming more concerned.

"No! W-we don't...do that kind of thing." She explained reassuringly.

"Alright..." I sighed with relief.

I sat quietly, eating while she watched me intently, I found it strange how invested she was into watching me for no real reason. I was chewing and looked up at her.

"Why do you do that?" I asked curiously.

"Do what?" She tilted her head slightly.

"Stare at me like that?" I pointed out.

"O-oh..w-well.......you're....uh" She stuttered, looking away with embarrassment.

She mumbled something softly that I couldn't hear.

"Huh???" I blurted, sounding dumb.

"Y-you're nice to look at.." She mumbled shyly.

I blushed bright red and paused.

"What-" I was dumbfounded.

"sh-shut up..s-stop asking questions and just eat" She grumbled, fiddling with the strings on her hood.

"ok" I obeyed, embarrassed about the whole situation.

I finished the food and she took the animal hide pouch and went outside the tent, glancing back before exiting the tent.

I just blinked there, in the almost darkness, confused. She walked back in, her hood strings untied so I could see the silhouette of her face and hair in the darkness of her hood.

"It's getting dark..." She said softly.

I blinked, still not sure how to respond.

"...don't bother me..." She mumbled, walking behind a curtain, lighting a candle behind it and silhouette's of her person moving around was more entertaining than staring at the ground.

I tilted my head as I heard her get into a bed, shifting every five minutes for what seemed like ages. I sighed and looked down at the ground, rubbing my covered wrists from the amount of time I was cuffed to the wall. I heard the bed shift and the sound of her getting up and looked over at the separation curtain.

"H-hey gray knight..guy?" She asked, coming around the curtain, she wore a faded blue nightgown and her brown hair fell long down her shoulders, green emerald eyes seeming to glow in the darkness of the tent.

I perked up, she was beautiful, a little rugged, but still beautiful.

"Yes?" I asked, tilting my head again.

"C-could....you come in here please?" She crossed her arms, turning a light shade of pink.

"....why?" I questioned quietly.

"W-would you just d-do it?! I'll uncuff your stupid ankle!" She snapped softly, looking away, embarrassed.

".....okay?" I got up.

She came over and uncuffed the chain from around my ankle and grabbed my hand, pulling me behind the curtain into a smaller room with a soft, worn bed. The room had a couple chests of things overflowing.

"O-okay uhm...lay down." She mumbled, avoiding eye contact.

"Do what?" I was once again dumbfounded.

"I-I'm cold!...j-just..p-please...?" She asked, seeming almost miserable, and I had finally noticed she was shivering.

"a-alright.." I nodded and got onto the bed.

I offered my hand to her as she stood next to the bed, shivering and being embarrassed. She shook her head.

"I thought you were col-" I started.

"Okay fine!" she cut me off, irritated.

She took my hand and I helped her onto the bed, laying down and feeling her awkwardly hug me. I tensed, feeling uncomfortable in this situation. I shifted and carefully hugged her back and felt her body relax, hugging me tighter and shivering less. I was still very confused why I wasn't dead yet, instead this smaller, female thief was treating me like a strange friend of her's. After a few minutes I felt her body relax more and she starting breathing softly. I made sure not to wake her up even though this person had kidnapped me and taken me from a mission I was assigned to, although I was trespassing through their home...

 She was soft though...
