chapter two

"Take everything but the Delicious Deals, guys"

"My mom loves them" Eddie says.

I sat on the counter as I watched Richie and Bill raid Eddie's cabinets for snacks. I look at them shoving each other and arguing about who had what first. I smile to myself.

"Hey, first you said the Barrens, now you're saying the sewer." Eddie started.

"What if we get caught?"

"We won't, Ed's " I assure. "The sewers are public works, we're the public aren't we?"

"Hey, Eddie, these your birth control pills?" Richie opens a cabinet full of medicine. I raise my eyebrows at the insane amount of medicine in the cabinet.

"Yeah, and Im saving them for your sister. This is private stuff!"

I hop of the counter as I watch Eddie go shut the cabinet. Richie smiles down at Eddie ruffling his hair, Eddie's face gets red as he shoves him away. We got all the snacks we wanted and started to leave.

"Eddie Bear, where are you guys off to in such a rush?" Mrs. Kaspbrak says just before we walk out the door.

"Uh... J-J-Just my backyard, Mrs K." Bill stutters.

"I got a new... um..."

"A new croquet set! Jeez, spit it out B-B-Bill!" Richie elbows Bill in the side.

"Okay. "

Mrs K looks over at me, she looks me up and down and giving me a death glare. I look down.

"Oh. and sweetie, don't go rolling around on the grass, especially if it's just been cut. You know how bad your allergies can get." Mrs K says while applying nail polish.

Right as we were finally about to leave, Mrs K spoke again.

"Aren't you forgetting something?"

Eddie slowly walked back over to her, kissing her on the cheek. I try and hold in my laughter, but Richie doesn't.

"Do you want one from me too, Mrs K?" Richie laughs before Eddie pushes us outside.

"That's poison ivy" Stan starts pointing at random plants. "and that's poison ivy, and that's definitely poison ivy."

"Wait, where is the poison ivy?" Eddie cautiously looks around.

"Nowhere! Jesus Stan, not every plant is fucking poison ivy." I explain.

"Okay, I'm starting to get itchy now, and I'm pretty sure this is not good for my-"

"Do you use the same bathroom as your mother?" Richie interrupts Eddie.

"Sometimes, yeah."

"Then you probably have crabs." Richie shrugs, and I let out a laugh.

"That is so not funny" Eddie complains.

"Well, aren't you guys coming in?" I ask, referring to Stan and Eddie.

"Uh-uh. It greywater."

"What the hell is greywater?" I sigh.

"It's basically piss and shit. So, I'm just telling you. You guys are splashing around in millions of gallons of Derry pee." Eddie explains raising his hands up.

I roll my eyes and turn to Bill who was already pretty far down in the sewer.

"Hey.." I put my hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down, I could tell he was anxious.
