I ride my bike as fast as I can to catch up to Bill, the wind blowing my hair back. Every possible bad thought fills my mind. I turn the corner and see Bill getting ready to enter the deranged house.
"Bill!" I throw my bike down and lose my balance a little. When I regain my balance I run over to him.
"Bill, you... you can't go in there" I breath heavily.
"This is crazy!"
"Look, don't have to come in with me. But what happens when another Georgie goes missing? Or another Betty? Or another Ed Corcoran? Or one of us? Are you just gonna pretend it isn't happening like everyone else in this town? Because I can't. I go home, and all I see is that Georgie isn't there. His clothes, his toys, his stupid stuffed animals, but... He isn't. So walking into this house, for me, it's easier than walking into my own."
I just stare at him, not knowing what to say. He didn't even stutter once.
"Bill" I walk up to him and turn him around.
"Wha-"
Before he could say anything, I place my lips on his. I feel his soft lips against mine and butterflies fill my stomach.
Wait, what did I just do?
Just as I was about to pull away, he puts his hand on the side of my face. Softly moving my hair behind my ear. He reaches his other hand onto my waist, my hands resting on his neck.
"Holy shit"
I hear Richie's voice. I spin around to see Richie, and the rest of the losers standing there in awe. Have they been there the whole time? My face gets extremely red, I just stare at them not knowing what I should say.
No one says anything, all the losers just start walking up the stairs to go into the house.
"Nice one" Richie winks at me and nudges me in the side.
"Fuck off" I raise my middle finger at him, but I can't help but smile a little. I turn around to meet Bills side, inside the house.
"Wait" Stan spoke up.
"Um, shouldn't we have some people keep watch? You know, just in case something bad happens?"
Bill turns back around and looks at him for a moment. "W-W-Who wants to s-stay out here?"
Everyone raises their hands except Bev and I.
"Fuck"
-------------------------
"I can't believe I pulled the short straw" Richie shakes his head.
Eddie, Richie, Bill, and I all walk into the old house. The smell of dust and rotten wood immediately fill my nose.
"You guys are lucky we're not measuring dicks."
"Richie, shut the fuck up" I don't take my eyes away from the spider webs covering every inch of the house.
"I can smell it" Eddie gags.
"Don't breath through your mouth" Richie advises.
"How come?"
"Because then you're eating it"
Eddie gags again before taking a breath from his inhaler.
I look around the rotting house. Nothing looks to out of place, everything looks like what you'd expect from a house that's been sitting here for ages. I look over at Richie and see him walking over to a piece of paper, holding it up. Curious, I walk up to him.
"What is it?" I ask him.
Richie looks up at me, his face went pale.
"Richie, what is it?" I snatch the paper from his hands and read it. My throat went dry, making it hard to swallow. He rips the paper back.
