I got a call from Beverly asking if I can come over. It sounded pretty important so I brought the guys with me. I know they don't have the best impression of Beverly, but they'll just have to deal with it because she was my friend.
"We gotta go through the alley" Stan explains.
"The alley takes way too long" Eddie spits back.
"No, the alley is so much faster"
"The alley is more dangerous and it's disgusting." Eddie says.
"How is it more dangerous?"
"It smells like piss and it's gross."
"Guys, just focus on what we really even came down here for, we came for Beverly, and we are going to help her" I say.
"Fine, but I don't see why we needed to come" I frown at Eddie, but before I could say anything Beverly come rushing down my he metal stairs.
"Oh, good you made it" Beverly says out of breath from running down the stairs.
"Of course, Bev" I smile at her.
"I need to show you something"
My smile immediately disappeared when I realized how serious she was being.
"More than what we saw at the quarry?" Richie exclaims.
"Ew! You're disgusting Richie" Eddie hits him in the shoulder.
"Ow! The fuck?"
"Guys!" I turn my focus back to Beverly.
"My dad will kill me if he finds out I had boys in the apartment" Beverly explains.
"Okay then, Richie stay here, you'll be lookout" I drop my bike and start walking up the hill towards Beverley's apartment.
"Woah woah woah woah! What if her dad comes back?" Richie yells at us as we all run up the stairs.
"Do what you always do. Start talking" Stan yells back. I burst out laughing.
"It was a gift" Richie mutters sitting back down on his bike.
We walk into Beverly's apartment. Only her and her dad lived there, but for some reason I could just tell. She leads us down a hallway and points to a door.
"In there"
"W-What is it?" Bill asks Beverly.
"You'll see"
"Are you taking us to your bathroom? I just want you to know that 89% of the worst accidents in homes or caused bathrooms. And, I mean, that's where all the bacteria and fungi are and it's not really a sanitary place..." Eddie whines as Bill pushes open the door.
"Oh my god" I gasp.
"I knew it!" Eddie starts gagging before he takes a breath from his inhaler.
"You see it?" Beverly asks.
"My dad couldn't, I thought I was crazy."
"Well, if you're crazy, then we're all crazy" I say. I didn't realize I was holding onto Bills arm until he started to move forward.
"W-We can't just leave it like this" Bill says.
"Where's your c-cleaning stuff?"
We all start cleaning the bathroom, dumping the blood into the tub every time it gets filled up. I laugh at Stan trying to get perfect wipes on the window. Beverly saying her dad couldn't see it reminds me of what happened at my house, in my room. My dad couldn't see the water just like Beverly's dad couldn't see the blood.
