1 - 𝐻𝑖𝑚

~Stella Ryder~

My father flung open the ballroom doors. Colton, who is my oldest brother linked his arms with mine and leaned in whispering.

"Whatever is planned for tonight, you will get through it I promise." In response I nodded my head. Father is the leader of our mafia, the Red Snakes.

My parents had five children, there's Colton, Damien, Caiden, Marco , and then me being the youngest. As we entered the ballroom, everyone clapped. I looked around to see hundreds maybe even a thousand people all gathered here. There was dancing, a ton of food, and most importantly, my fathers speech. Father raised his glass in the air and tapped it with his knife. He immediately got everyone's attention and proceeded to talk.

" Good evening everybody!" He said while dead staring at me, flashing a small smirk. I got a horrible feeling in my stomach and felt the shivers go down my spine. My mind trailed off as he continued to thank everyone for coming.

My focus is drawn back to me once I heard my father call my name.

"Stella darling come to your father." He reaches his hand out signaling me to come forward. I stand there frozen, until Colton and Damien came to my sides and lead me over to him. Father grabbed my hand and yanked me up on the stage, pulling me close.

"What the hell?" Turning my head towards him. He squeezes my wrist and whispers.

"Go along with it or you know what will happen." My eyes go wide once I heard those last few words, turning my head to the audience I smile.

The ballroom rooms whip open, causing everyone to gasp and look over to the front entrance. My father clapped his hands together, letting go of my wrist and walked off the stage.

"Xavier!!" Father laughed while reaching his hand out. I stared at the man while rubbing my wrist and turned to Colton who embraced me into a hug. "You know how to get all the attention to you, don't you?"

"It's Mr. Hernandez to you, Lorenzo" The man took of his sunglasses and made direct eye contact with me. I rolled at the sight of him.

Xavier Hernandez, the one and only, Xavier Hernandez. I fixed my red silk dress and made my way to father once he motioned me over.

"Mr Hernandez, meet my daughter." Xavier looked me up and down, until his emerald green eyes met mine.

"Your name?" His scary but soothing voice states.

"Stella, Stella Ryder." I put my hand out while not breaking eye contact.

"Everyone! It is a pleasure to say that my daughter, Stella will be getting married off to The Xavier Hernandez."

He turned around to face me while my jaw dropped.

"Your kidding right?, please tell me your kidding!" I turned to face my mother who looked extremely upset while hugging Marco. Colton looked as shocked as I was while Damien stood there looking guilty. I stormed up to him with father and Colton following behind me.

"You knew! You knew didn't you?!" I grabbed Damien by his ear and whipped him down to my height. Moving my hand down to his neck I grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back.

"I'm sorry Stella, I truly am, I just couldn't tell you! Please forgive me!" He groaned in pain while I finally let go of his arm.

Flipping my hair back, making my way to the entrance I felt a arm grab my hand and pull me in. I Looked up to see that it was Xavier, I rolled my eyes at him while ripping my arm out of his grip. As I started to walk away, he grabbed me again, pushing my chin up with his finger.

"You do not roll your eyes at me, do you understand?" He glared at me.

"Let.go.of.me." I demanded. Xavier let go, as I took off for the main doors, hearing him chuckle behind me.
