~Xavier Hernandez ~
"Getting married off huh?" A women's voice came behind us. When I turned around I didn't realize that I had grabbed Stella's hand. The women looked over to Stella and held out her hand,
"Serena Hernandez." She smiled. They shook hands but before Stella could introduce herself, Serena called her out.
"You're the Ryders daughter, aren't you?" A awkward laugh came from Stella. "Yes, yes I am Mrs. Hernandez."
"Oh sweetie just call me Serena, I'm Xavier's aunt." she smiled at both of us. We headed over to the bar.
"Bourbon, on the rocks." I raised my hand while the bartender nodded his head.
Sipping my drink slowly, I listened to my aunt Serena tell Stella about what she does and that she will be here more often. Serena is a second mother figure to me, she has been there for me every step of the way since I became the leader of the Mafia.
"And when Xavier was a baby, he was just the cutest and his-" I cut off my Aunt Serena.
"That's enough of that." I glared at her while she smacked my arm.
While finishing my drink, I whipped around to someone calling Stella's name.
"Stella darling." He grinned while Stella rolled her eyes at him.
"A dance with your father?" He put his hand out, waiting for her to grab it. Stella agreed, looking back at me while she walked away with her father.
I turned my chair around, keeping an eye on her while she danced with her father.
"Is she the one?" Serena said, now facing me.
"What?" I chuckled, still keeping my eye on Stella as her father spun her around, her dress flowing with every movement.
"Xavier, Is she the one?" Serena asked again, now giving me a look with a smile on her face.
"I don't know, she's only been with us for a month and a half." The bartender handed me a second drink, I thanked him as I turned to Serena.
"She's different that's all I know." A small chuckle left my lips before I took a sip of the bourbon.
"Don't break her, I have a good feeling about her Xavier." Serena patted my shoulder before walking off into the crowd. I thought about her words for a little, only to notice that Stella was walking back towards me. I felt a grin appear on my face.
"My feet are killing right now." Stella groaned while hopping up on the chair. I chuckled.
"How was it? Dancing with your father?" I leaned my head back, looking at her beautiful eyes.
"It was alright, but on the bright side he didn't make me want to shoot his head off." she stared at me, not saying anything else. We just stared at each other.
Suddenly, screams were echoing through the whole ball room. Stella went to get up to see what was happening but I stopped her, grabbing her and tugged her close to me." What's happening?" I could hear the panic in her voice. As I started to rush through the crowd of people who were running, I noticed the Russians shooting frantically.
I pulled Stella into my chest and bent down, keeping her covered.
"Stay down, everything's fine." I sped across the ball room, trying to keep both of us out of sight. They were obviously here for me.
I ran behind the bar, and forced her to sit down.
"Stay here, I will be right back." I jumped over the counter, whipped out my gun and unlocked it. One of the Russians had their backs turn, I aimed it perfectly, shooting him in the head with no hesitation. From the corner of my eye I saw Ryan and Vincent to my right, and Ian and Elijah to my left. One of the Russian men came from behind, wrapping his arm around my neck. Taking both of my hands I flip him over myself, putting my foot down on his stomach,
