📍Flying Rocks
9:00am

I groggily wake up a wipe my eyes. I look around, to see I'm still at The Flying Rocks. I immediately jump up when I realize that we go back to Auradon today. I fell asleep on Harry's chest, and the thought of what happened last night pierces my brain. I try to shake it off, and pick up my clothes. I quickly freshen up the best I can, and rush down the stairs. The limo leaves no later than 9:30, so I have to be quick.

I sprint all the way from Flying Rocks to our parents' tower. There, I see all VK's saying goodbye and making their way to their limos. I walk inside to see all of my friends and their parents there, including Celia and dad.

"A!" Evie rushes over to me.

"Finally." Carlos adds.

"Where have you been? We were worried." Evie hugs me tightly.

"Evie, this is our home. Why would I be in trouble." I say, still in the hug.

"That's what I tried to tell her." Mal says before biting into an apple.

Evie pulls back. "No offense to The Isle, but it isn't the most safe of places to go missing." She says.

I laugh at her comment and walk over to dad. He stands up and hold his arms out, inviting me in. We embrace in a tight hug and Celia joins in to.

"Yuck." Maleficent says.

Dad shoots her a look before pulling back.

I'm about to take a seat in the tower when I suddenly hear the honking of our limos.

"Looks like you got here just in time." Jay says, making his way to the door.

We all say our goodbyes on our way out. Celia gets in a car with Dizzy and the twins, while I get in the car with my previous car mates.

We sit down and look out of the window like before. We wave the entire way until we can't see our parents anymore. Then, we turn our attention to the barrier. We're once again mesmerized by the magic bridge. Evie and I freak out the most.

We make it back across to see the arrangement of people waiting for us. Guards, teachers, the king and queen, and Ben. As soon as I see him, my memory of what happened last night comes back.

I wish I didn't do that. I feel so bad.

Everyone excitedly gets out of the car and says hi to their friends. I'm glad I got to see mom and visit home again, but I wouldn't mind forgetting this trip ever happened.

I'm the last to get out of the car. Ben hold his arms up and I awkwardly give him a hug. He puts his hands on my shoulders and pulls back.

"So," He starts with a huge smile. "How was it?"

"How was what?" I stupidly ask, totally out of it.

"The trip." He eyes me.

"Oh!" I try to laugh off. "The trip! Of course. The one that I just came back from."

Girl get a grip.

"It was great! I saw my mom and their parents." I signal to the VK's. "I saw some old friends and even Uma, you remember Uma." I say.

"How could I forget." He jokes. "Well I'm sure your tired. Let me take you to your room." He offers, like the sweet guy he is.

"Oh no no, it's okay." I stop him. "I kind of just want a little time to wind down, you know?"

"Oh." He tries to hide his disappointment. "Of course. Uh, just, let me know if you need anything, yea?"

"Of course." I say. I kiss him on the cheek to make up for the weird exchange we just had, and take my bags into the castle.

The whole way up, I can't stop thinking about Harry. About what I did. In the moment, it felt good. It felt like an escape from the chaos here at Auradon. But that was stupid. I made such a monumental mistake for such a small problem.

Because that's why Ben's here. Ben should be my escape. He is my escape. I can't even look him in the face after what I've done.

I open my room door and set my things down. I do a spell that fairy godmother taught me, and it unpacks all of my things for me. I do another spell that changes my outfit from my old and smelly Isle clothes, to preppy cute Auradon loungewear.

I throw myself on my bed and close my eyes tight. I want to disappear. But this thought reminds me of something. Reminds me of why I can't disappear.

Not only because I don't pay attention in Magic of Visual Arts class, but also because Coronation is soon. Like...really soon. Like in a week soon.

This gives me the motivation I need to totally cut ties with Harry and focus on my soon to be husband's big day. I hop off of my bed and sit at my desk. I use a quill, ink, and a pad to write out a note.

'We can't do this anymore. I have a life here, I'm happy here, I'm happy with Ben. No more us, ever. -Aly

I put the note inside of an envelope and use my signature magenta stamp to close it. I cautiously put a spell on it so that no more than 2 people can read it.

I walk out of my room, note in hand, and go down to the other side of the hallway. I knock on the blue and pink painted door. I wait for a minute, no answer. I knock again, no answer.

I finally pound on the door three hard times before I get an answer. I see a paint covered Dizzy with her headphones around her neck, hence why she couldn't hear me.

"Dizzy, I need a favor." I say.

I explain how she needs to tell Ben that she left something important on The Isle, and she desperately needs to go back and get it. Dizzy's good and trusted kid, he wouldn't doubt it. I need her to give that note to Harry without anyone knowing. Plus, she'd get to see her family again.

She pauses for a second. "If I do this-"

"If you don't I'm telling the king and queen how you keep a cat on campus when it's strictly forbidden." I rant, cutting her off.

"Hey!" She stomps her foot. "That's not fair. Carlos gets to keep a talking dog and no one bats an eye!" She complains.

I give her a blank stare.

"Fine." She says. "What's this letter anyway?" She asks, starting to open it.

I hold her hands still. "Do it and I'm feeding Mr.Snuggles to Hades' 3 headed dog." I quickly say.

She gasps. "You wouldn't!"

"I would." I reassure her.

She makes an annoyed face, telling me she won't open it, and slams her door. I walk back to my room, feeling accomplished.
