We're all walking into the royal ball a little late.

The VK's run up to me first.

"Where have you been, A?" Mal asks.
"We thought you were with Ben, but then he showed up here not too long ago."

"There were a few unplanned for things that happened backstage. I didn't mean to make you worry." I say, knowing I'll tell them everything later.
"But right now, I need to go see Ben. I shouldn't have left him alone like this."

"Yea, yea. Go!" Evie waves me off.

I walk over to the man in blue and smile when I see him in his crown. He politely ends his conversations and turns his attention to me.

"Lia! I swear I wasn't going to leave you but my dad said that we couldn't both be missing at the royal hall and-"

"Ben," I cut him off. "You're rambling." I giggle.

"Just-" he stops. "Are you okay?"

"Ben, you were just crowned king and we're getting married soon. This was nothing but a bump in our road. I'm fine and I want us to enjoy tonight, okay?" I explain.

"I love you so fucking much." He hugs me.

"I love you."

I'm laying on Ben's chest after this long day. We didn't get back up to my dorm until 2am this morning. And he has an even bigger day as his first day as king tomorrow.

Ben's been reading me some old magic book for a while now, but I haven't been listening. I've been too focused on his lips, that I keep kissing, and his hands, that I keep touching. He's laying on his back with the book propped up on his knees. One hand in mine, and one stroking my hair. Occasionally giving me sweet and soft kisses.

This is all I want, only him. I know that for sure now. Only us.
