It was a warm summer morning, with a cool breeze blowing through the trees. I had just gotten back from a quick flight before I was called to the leaders cave. I Landed stretched my wings and back, standing in front of the entrance to my clan's cavern base. Walking in there were a few people out and about. My younger sister, Nifty, being one of them. "Good Morning Alastor!" She said, turning her head to me. She was a smaller fire dragon. Two times smaller than me, and even though I was a bit larger than most it still amazed me.

Her patterns were shining in the sunlight, making her seem to be glowing. The little darling's patterns consisted of red and orange to go on her yellowy base scale tone. Bright pink colored her horns and base of her wings, leaving a mix of them all for her eyes.

"Good morning my dear!' I said in reply, not stoping my short walk to the cave located near the entrance. My Scales shown various shades of red as I walked under a skylight, making my smile more. I was always proud of my scales. My mother has always told my that almost only one color was rare for a male fire dragon.

I made the turn to the dip in the mountain,  where a den was made neatly inside. Laying down in a bed of leaves, dried grass, and vines; were two female dragons. One a light shade of yellow, with red accessories

and deep tan undertones. Her red eyes glistening in the darkness as she looked over to me. "Hello Alastor!" She said sitting up. The other dragon beside her grin in protest, seemingly being woken from her slumber.

Vibrant pink and orange eyes glared at me from beside Charlotte. "What do you want." She responded, more of a statement than question. "Hello Dear, and good morning to you too Vagatha." The lavender and deep pink ice dragon grunted in response, clearly disliking my presence. I didn't acknowledge it in the slightest, as I continued my conversation, sitting down on the opposite side of the two. "You sent for me Charlie?" The Girl before me nodded and stretched her neck.

"There's something important we need to discuss." Her normally cheery and optimistic smile was now replaced with a more serious look; one of intent. "Go on." I said, tilting my head slightly. "A clan would like to have a meeting. With me. They said they wish to discuss a way of peace between us." She seemed hesitant to continue. "But the only Clan we are at a disagreement with is the Air-" I froze mid sentence, realizing why she hadn't spoken the name of which clan wished to speak.

"You can't actually be considering meeting with them?" I asked shocked. "Surely you wouldn't even think about meeting with the leader who killed your father!" I was now standing up looking at her, then at Vagatha. "I'm Sorry, but if there is even a slight possibility of peace between us I have to take it."  Now all of us were standing.

"Vagatha. Even you should know better than this nonsense!" Normally I wouldn't be so quick to anger at something as simple as this; but I have a personal grudge against Air dragons as a whole. "For you're information I don't agree with this. But it's what Charlie, -Your leader- wants. And you cannot disobey your leader Alastor." She spat, putting emphasis on my name. "If that was meant to hurt my feelings you've failed, again, Vagatha." I said with an equal amount of malice in my tone.

She drew her lips back, showing her fangs as her pupils diatlated. I didn't let my my calm appearance falter for a second, if it weren't for my tone you might have never known I hated this entire encounter.

Charlie stepped between us as I sat back down. "Both of you stop! I'm going and that's final. Now I want you, Alastor, to gather up five people to join us three at the meeting. Make sure there are two of our fastest, and three stronger. If you feel necessary then bring along someone who can talk well too." She said as she moved back to her nest, Vagatha following. "Fine." I said, leaving the den is a rather sour mood. I was feeling chipper this morning, but it seems that wasn't bound to last.

Tomorrow is a new day. And normally that would mean a nice start to a day; In this case it meant meeting with the mist selfish group of dragons I've ever met. Oh well, at least I won't have to put up with that clan.
