a/n: aloha isn't present in the story but he's involved if that makes sense. also it's a bit of an angsty story

the day was sunny with no clouds in sight. as per usual, the square was busy since some big names were battling.

in-front of the crusty sean sat an orange inkling. he was there with the rest of his team; eating and making notes for their next battle.

they did this nearly everyday with no change, but something with one of the inklings appearances was a little different. the leader of the team wore a pink visor instead of his usual orange beret.

some people would look at him with strange looks or see him more childish than serious. despite what they would say, it didn't bother him.

in-fact, he took pride in this visor. reason being, it belonged to his boyfriend, aloha. whenever he wore the visor, he swore he felt stronger. who knew being in love had its perks?

the reason why he had the hat was because his lover went on a skiing trip. he simply wanted a thing to remember his boyfriend by, and the hat was the first thing given.

whenever he would stare up and see the visor, he couldn't help but smile. the thought of his lover and them two together was enough to drive him insane.

it started to get late as the square became less and less populated. the four members said their goodbyes and walked away–all except one.

army decided to stay a while longer. he stared at the sky as stars began to softly reveal themselves. he would take deep breaths in and savior the wonderful air that surrounded him. he felt one with the world; he felt at peace.

just as things felt amazing, almost perfect, something came unexpectedly. he had received a text message from his lover stating the worst thing he would possibly imagine.

at this point, no one was in the square. it was only him and the gentle winds that roamed the earth. they didn't feel comforting anymore but rather cold and lonely.

he struggled to hold back his tears as he read the message. he grabbed the visor from his head and covered his face with the brim of it. his lip would quiver with his grip tightening around the edge of the hat.

the scent given off from the hat would comfort him in an odd way. it'd hug him and reassured him it would all be okay. he wasn't sure if he was being taunted or encouraged, but the last thing he wanted to accept was defeat.

he began to calm down as he placed the hat back on his head. he got up from his chair feeling better than ever and stronger than before. the visor still gave him that encouraging power, even if the boy he loves didn't feel the same anymore.
