Invasion: Warhammer Titan

"Wake up… Gabi! Udo!" Gabi slowly gets up, dazed by the destruction around her. That Titan...just leaped into the stands. One moment it was destroying the stage, the next...it is over here. Just what is going on? What's happening?

"Get up!" Colt hoists her to her feet. "Hurry!"

As she rises up, Gabi looks behind her. There's a huge piece of debris...and a pair of legs sticking. Udo...Colt…her… "Zofia?"

"Zofia!" Udo screams. "Are you okay?"

Colt grabs Gabi and reaches out for Udo as the crazed mob heads their way. "She's gone, Udo! Come here!"

"We have to move this or else she'll--"

"Udo!" The boy vanishes in the sea of people running for their lives. Gabi helplessly watches the chaos in Colt's arms as he finds a piece of debris to hide them under.

What is going on? Who did this? Why?

Pandemonium.

As I fly away from the gathering, I watch nostalgically as the people of Liberio and foreign dignitaries scramble for their lives as Eren continues his murderous rampage. I stand by and watch the carnage, pistols hot from the killing of the pair of dead soldiers behind me. A beautiful symphony of death and destruction, a memory shared from our past to their present. Revenge served bittersweetly.

A second flash of lightning shoots down behind Eren. Expecting Reiner, I'm surprised to see a skeleton form within the light. Forming feet first, the body is soon covered by skin and muscle, giving the new Titan a sleek frame. The brute that is the Attack Titan punches the newcomer, knocking it into a building and continues to hammer its face. I hear a gunshot, fired from the Marleyans not too far away from me. A useless attempt, but if Eren’s attack marks Paradis’ “acceptance” of the declaration, that shot marks Marley’s counterattack.

Then Eren shoots up in the air, impaled by a crystalline pillar. Manipulation of the crystal hardening ability beyond the body of the Titan. This is the power of the Warhammer Titan.

I'll leave Eren to that for now. I raise my hand, firing a green smoke signal in the air. I undoubtedly catch the eyes of the assembled Marleyan force a few distant roofs away, but they don't have the mobility the Scouts do, and the Jaw, Beast, and Cart Titans (for now) have been dealt with.

But they do have the artillery. After Eren breaks free of the pillar and stuck in place by spikes from the ground, the Marleyans fire their anti-Titan weapons, pinning down the Attack to defend itself. This allows the Tyber within the Warhammer to swing its crystal hammer through Eren's arms and head. "Hmph...you're losing, Eren." From the nape, just shy of the neck wound, Eren reveals himself.

The Warhammer prepares to squash him. “Usurper, Eren Jaeger. Do you have any last words?”

“...Now or never, Mikasa.”

I jump off the building and begin to head towards the Titans, landing on the Attack's neck just as the Warhammer's own neck is blown to high heaven. Around the Marleyans, it's own force comes under fire. The first attacker lands right next to us. I stand and speak to her. "Is everything in motion, Mikasa?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good. It won't be long before the Jaws and Cart return. I don't expect them to stay absent much longer. Same for Reiner. Jean can lead the others for now."

"Great," Eren says, "you all came."

"Eren," Mikasa pleads, "please...come home." Eren says nothing back, just a short glance at her before looking away. Mikasa sighs as she looks at the destruction our friend has caused. "Eren… You… Do you understand what you've done? You've killed civilians. You even...killed children. That's already...irredeemable. And Joshua, do you really support this?"
