THINKING ØUT LØUD

chapter 10

(Augusts P.O.V, 40 mins earlier)

I was walking to class, but before I could get there my phone buzzed un my pocket.

I leaned against the lockers, and pulled out my phone.

It was a text from Treyton.

T- I need to talk to you.

A- ok, what is it, are you ok?

I decide to skip fourth period, so I went to the bathroom, and sat in a stall.

T- my mom, she died....

A- omg trey im so sorry

T-dont know what to do auggie

A-That's it I'm going to indiana, and i will be there shortly, stay Where you are and don't do anything stupid

My phone buzzs again, but some people enter the bathroom.

It doesn't sound like the normal little girls foot steps, they were heavy.

I looked out the crack, and saw three men, with masks on, discussing something.

My eyes grew wide when i saw they had guns.

I scramble to the back of the stall and put my feet up.

All there heads looked towards the stall.

I quickly pull out my phone and text someone, help.

The door gets knocked town and I drop my phone.

One of them grabs my arm. I yelp, then he slaps me with so much force, i fall to the floor.

I am on the floor, and I see the door open a little.

It was hayes.

He closed the door again then i hear footsteps running town the hall.

I'm in so much pain.

The lock down alarm went off, then the men in here start to freak out.

I get up quickly, and see my opportunity.

I grab the gun out of the first ones hands.

"Come on little girl give it back." He says.

I shank my head no.

He comes after me, and i pull the trigger.

I am crying now, as i run out of the room. I run and run, then I run into someone.

"August are you ok?" I hear hayes ask.

I shake my head and grab his jacket sleeve and drag him out the school.

"Can you tell me what's going on?" He asks.

"Ill tell you on the plane" I say, tears still blurring my vision.

"The what?!? Where are you going ?" He asks.

"We are going to indiana" I say.

"Why?" He asks.

"To talk to Treyton," I begin.

"Oh" is all he said.

"His mom just died and he has no one, and your coming with me" I tell him.

"Why do i have to come?" He asks, still trying to pry my hand off his jacket sleeve.

"Are you my friend or not?" I stop and look at him in the eyes.

"Yea of course" he says.

"Well of you were my real friend you will go with me." I say.

"Ok." He agrees.

We approach my house and i quickly grab my extra money for the plane, and my ipod.

We then run across the street to hayes' house.

Nash is in the living room.

" grab your keys we need you to drive us somewhere" hayes practically demands.

Nash didn't object, he just pops up from his spot.

We get into his car. "So where are you two going?" He asks.

"To the airport, now drive. We will be back tomorrow" I tell him.

He nods in understandment.

The drive was short, and once we got there we say bye to nash.

It didn't take as long as i thought to get a ticket, so we were on the plane in no time.

I explained most of it to hayes, and he agreed with me that it was really sweet that i was doing this.

Eight hours later.

"Auggie wake up"

I open my wyes to see hayes.

" Come on we have to get off" he says lifting me up off the seat.

I then remember where we are.

Indiana.

I run off with hayes close behind.

"Do you know where he lives?" He asks catching up to me.

"Yea in know this place like the back of my hand" I say with a slight laugh.

Hayes calls a cab.

The rife was short considering he lives so close to the airport.

When we pulled up to the small house Treyton lived in, I played the taxi driver and then i run to the front door.

I don't even bother knocking I just run in and up the steps to the last door that blongs to him.

I run in and see him laying on his bed.

He looks like shit Tbh.

"O my God trey!" I yell as i run to him.

I engulf him in a hug. He is crying and getting my hair wet.

"Ehem" I hear.

I pull away and look over my sholder to see hayes awkwardly standing there.

"Come on we have to go" I say pulling treys arm.

"Where are we going?" Trey asks. "North Carolina" I simply say.

He looked shocked.

"Really?" He asks a minute later, sounding really excited.

I gave him a smile and a nod.

He hugged me again. Hayes looked jealous, i don't know why tho.

We catch another plane to north Carolina, and of course i fall asleep again.
