Seventeen | Guilt

It's been a week since Nova has been gone. Every one has been working around the clock trying to find even a scrap of evidence or clue left behind from the rouges that took her. We have a feeling it was rouges because there would obviously be no other person that has taken her. The only thing found was a set foot prints traveling North towards Tennessee.

I'm gonna try my best to get on that team heading out tonight to help because sitting around here isn't helping her or my sanity anymore. I climb out of the shower and walk to my closet to put on my clothes and combat boots. Ever since I was initiated into the pack 3 days ago it has been so much easier to communicate with everyone without having to track them down or them track me down.

"Alpha, Are you in the office?"
"Yes. The update meeting is about to start so you best hurry on up here if you don't want to miss anything." Alpha Doxon replies before blocking me out.

I quickly make my way up the stairs and quietly slip into his office where he had just started. There were the two men that was leading group A and B. They were the best trackers underneath Nova then Ralph. Nova is the best tracker in the whole pack.

"Team A will be searching farther North pointing the way that the shoe print was seen, team B with be taking a Left and heading the diagonal way the shoe print was seen and there will be a team C going the right diagonally as well and doing the same as the other two. If anything is found or seen that's suspicious you will use the weather and shatter proof phones provided for all team leaders. I don't care if it's the smallest thing. Call! Are we clear?" James says while looking at the two men.
"Yes Alpha." They reply in unions.
"Good. You may go." He says leaving the two men walking out the door as he sits in his seat.

I move to sit in the seat in front of his desk then sit thinking for a second.

"Sir did you say a team C?"
"Yes, why?" He replies.
"I wanna go. Please I'll do anything just let me do something. I was ranked 2nd as a tracker under our Gamma in my old pack. You know I won't let you down."
"Tanner, I already planned on adding you as their leader. Don't let whatever feelings for my daughter cloud your judgment or I'll have to pull you." He says in a warning tone.
"We're only friends. I just helped her out because she asked me to. I'll stay focused."

I stand up and go to make my way out of the room but turn around to see James looking off into space. He's been doing that a lot lately. Before I walk out I whisper under my breathe loud enough for him to hear it.

"We should really start looking into other packs for help."

I walked into my room and pack a camping bag full of clean clothes, a tent, a water purifying water bottle, and a sleeping bag. Before I went out the door I pulled my phone out of my pocket, turned it off, then headed to the pack meeting grounds behind the pack house. I bumped into Noah on my way out the door and decided bringing up the idea of getting help from other packs to him to.

"Hey man." He says while I looked to him.
"Hey, I just wanted to ask what you think about getting help from another pack? I mentioned it to your dad but I didn't give him enough time to rip me a new one before I booked it out of his office."
"I've thought about it honestly. The more packs we have helping us, the better our chances of finding her are. We can't keep doing this alone. Let me go see what I can do." He says walking into the pack house.
"Good luck bud." I say then block him before he can tell me to shove it.

"Good luck bud." Tanner mind links me then blocks me out.

He's really starting to get to know me better. I guarantee if he didn't block me out I would have made him come with me. Smart guy. Walking into my fathers office I plop down on the couch and let a deep sigh out.
