Walking up to where Nala told us we would all find her and Nova my heart stops for a second and I forgot how to breathe. Why didn't I feel the pain? My beautiful mate was laying on the ground bleeding out while Nala cried for her to stay awake. Nova was just laying there starring at Nala like she was going to disappear.

After shock came confusion. What happened? Nala look up to us and seeing my best friends mate cry snaps me out of the shock and replaces it with worry. I rush over to Nova while Sean rushes to her. Nala tries to get away from Sean and grabs on to Nova's hand. When I picked her up and their hands break apart I hear a weak whimper come from Nova.

I turn around and rush her towards the pack hospital with James and Noah in tow. She was pale and cold from the blood loss. I pull her closer to me and push her head into the crook of my neck. I never thought my first time holder her like this would be to save her life.

When we reached the hospital, Dr. Black I think his name was met us in the waiting room with a bed. I placed her on the bed and he said something to James then wheeled her away. I couldn't take my eyes off that bed until I couldn't see it anymore even then I stayed glued to the spot until James placed his hand on my shoulder. When I looked at him finally, he was starring at the door like I had been. I finally sat down and did the only thing I could. Wait..

"What happened?" Noah whispered to James.
"I'm not sure, but Ralph will let us know when Nala tell him after calming down. Link him and tell him to bring her here to check on the baby after the fall she had. I don't know if Nova landed on her or not, but I still want to make sure my grand-baby is okay." James answers.
"Grand baby?" Noah asks back confused.
"He'll always see her as his daughter weather she is with Nova or not. They're wolves imprinted on each other." I state while looking at the wall ahead.
"Oh yeah that makes since." Noah whispers.

We all just sat there in silence waiting for someone to update us until I felt my bond with Nova start to break. I grab ahold of my chest and cry out while falling out of the chair. I look up to see James and Noah holding their chest and tears in their eyes while starring at each other. They feel it too. I hold my chest and roll on my side with tears in my eyes. I don't want to lose her.

I lay there for what feels like forever until the pain stops all the sudden. I look over to Noah and James for confirmation just in case and they are smiling in relief. Noah stands up and helps me up.

"She's going to be okay. She's strong." Noah states while still holding onto me then goes and sits back in the chair.
"I just wish I knew what happened." James says lowly.

Ralph and Sean came in through the doors and Sean had Nala in his hands. She looks void of any emotions. I jump up and rush over to them.

"You okay?" I ask her while holding her arm softly.

She looks at me and starts tearing up then shakes her head yes then no.

"Take her to get checked out." I say to Sean and he nods his head.

A nurse comes out and they follow her back to a room. As soon as I sit down Dr. Black come out.

"Alpha's, she made it though perfectly. She was shot in her left lower back and the bullet penetrated her intestines. We were able to remove the bullet and repair everything. There were some complications when removing the bullet. She started flatlining but we were able to get her back after a minute of trying thankfully. After the one complication everything went along nicely. She is in the recovery room and will be moved to her bedroom shortly. We don't know when she'll wake up but we are sure she will." Dr. Black says.
"What about Gracie, her wolf?" Noah asks.
"She'll be fine just as well as Nova. They both just need to rest." He states.
"Can we go ahead and wait in her room?" James asks
"Yes, Alpha. Just follow me and I'll show you. Would you like to join us, Alpha Titus?" He asks me.
"You guys go ahead. I'll wait here for a bit."
"Yes Alpha. Whenever your ready to come back, she'll be in the same room she was in last time." He says then walks off with James and Noah.
