-30th December 2000.-
A frosty winter evening. Two men of old age sat on two chairs in their balcony, leg resting on the coffee table. They stared deep and wide at the sight ahead of them.
Years had passed, generations changed, the kind of life changed; seasons changed, nights changed, everything changed except something so precious. Something very cherished; their love.
Taehyung still peered into his moonflower's eyes just the way he did the first time they met. He still can't seem to stop the red hue on his cheeks every time Jungkook's lips met his. He still can't believe that he is so lucky to have the younger in his life, with him, through all the difficulties.
They had their hard times as a homosexual couple in the 60s, they still do, but it's comparatively less; much more bearable. Jungkook smiled, feeling grateful that Taehyung was still with him, even after all the hardships, occasional fights and tears. One kiss fixes all their fights.
The older had turned 61 that day, and Jungkook just couldn't stop his tears. Pressing kisses might not have been enough that they cuddled up on the bed. It felt nice; the warmth in this freezing weather.
Taehyung had gotten slight wrinkles on his face, but still managed to look like the same greek god Jungkook saw on the day they met. The younger too, had gotten his share of stuff that came with old age. He still was the prettiest moonflower to his Taehyungie Hyung.
"Darling," The older let out, glancing at the addressed male. Earning a hum in return, he continued, taking a sip out of his coffee.
"Here," he said, handing out a letter to Jungkook, who sat beside him. His lips curved into a smile when he saw the younger's awestruck face. It was the kind of letter he used to write back in the day.
Jungkook couldn't help the tears as he hugged his husband. The older didn't waste much time to hug him back. They were still, and will always be, the young, lovestruck males.
The letter had the same stamps, the address, the seals on the outside. The same kind of rose, tied onto the letter with similar brown thread.

To my dear beloved moonflower,
Greetings my love. I had been going through our albums, and reminiscing about our memories that I came across one of our letters. I couldn't help but try writing one again.
You know, I truly am very thankful to have you in my life. Getting to see you every morning, to hear your giggles and rants, just seeing you eat well and smile is a blessing.
Darling, I love you so much. And as I write this while seeing you sleep like a little angel, I can't help but smile. Hopefully you don't mind a kiss in your sleep.
Thank you for everything heartling... I wish we could spend all the rest of our years and our next lives together.
From your love,
Kim Taehyung._
"I love you too Taehyungie! So so so much! And thank you for this, brought back all the memories," Jungkook giggled through his tears as he stuffed his face into the older's shoulder; still hugging him tight as ever.
And they sealed their promise with a kiss. Their promise to stay with each other, to love and adore each other till their end. Two lips moulded into one another like a puzzle, the adoration and excitement same as their very first.
Well truly, they would never get anyone better. They were meant to be.
