Who is Edison's closest friend?

Jeff was going to Annie's apartment to say the only truth. He was going to de honest with his feelings. He had told it to Britta. Britta gave some advices and wished him good luck. As he was driving he saw the fire near her house. He was shocked. He left his Lexus and ran. There were a lot of people down. The floor Annie and Troy were living was on fire. He could not see from their window the inside. He knew a Annie was alone. He opened the door from downstairs. A fireman came next to him.

"You can't go in there, man. You will probably die" he said in calm way.
"How can you be so calm" he thought but he didn't say it. He quickly run up the stairs and looked at the door. He didn't have the keys. The keys were in his car. "Damn". He hit and opened the door with his foot. The sound wasn't so bad and the door opened so easy so he asked himself how unsafe she was in that apartment.

He came and saw Annie falling down. He jumped through the fire without even thinking about it. He grabbed her and tried not to cry but he did.

"Annie! Please stay with me!" he said while crying. He lied her down on the back seats of his car and went to the hospital. She wasn't breathing and that made him really sad.

After some minutes Jeff left his Lexus outside the hospital. He put her in his arms. Her eyes were now opened and Jeff smiled a little.

"Everything is gonna be fine" he touched her hair when Troy came. Jeff had called him while he was driving.

Troy hugged her and put her in his arms. He looked at Jeff with a glance like he was saying "thanks, man".

Together in the hospital were waiting as the doctor was with Annie. Troy asked how this happened.
Jeff explained that the apartment next to theirs was on fire so this happened. Then, Troy asked how did he found out.

"I was... Going to tell her I love her" Troy tried to talk but Jeff went on. "I know it's too late. But, I wanted her to know it. I wouldn't try to make her come with me I know she is in love with you and you are going to have a family now so... I just felt I had to do it" he looked at the floor and suddenly Troy hugged him. "Sorry" Jeff said.

In the room Annie was conscious again and asked about her baby. The nurse went to find Troy and saw him with Jeff.

"I'm sorry who is Edison's closest friend?"

Troy and Jeff had talk about it. "No one knows" Jeff smiled.

"I wanted to talk about the baby she was having" she said not smiling. "I'm sorry"

Troy felt his heart breaking. Even if he wasn't sure if he was ready. He wanted that baby. He had already planned his future life. Maybe he was with Annie or maybe she was with Jeff and they were friends with a child.

Jeff hugged him. "Can we see her?" he asked the nurse.

They entered her room. She was touching her belly.

Troy started crying. Annie saw him and understood what was going on. She asked about the baby and nobody answered and then Troy was crying. She started crying too. Jeff felt he wanted to cry too but he didn't.
