"Alrighty then, full circle!"
Evelyn yelled through her headset. She flicked a switch and heard the voice of her commander.
"Attention everyone! As you already know, you are entering a bomb-unsafe area..."
Evelyn already knew. Everyone did; that was why they had signed up. It was the year 2035, and the U.S, England, Ireland, Italy, and Spain were all fighting against Russia and China. China had been making hombs and trying to sell nuclear ones to other countries, and when Russia got in on the deal, they smuggled bombs over the border and declared war on the U.S... in other words, it was World War 3. The commander went on.
"Thank you everyone, and have a safe flight!"
The speaker crackled off, and Evelyn turning the plane counter-clockwise.
"Beta team, do you read me?"
No one answered. She tried again.
"Charlie team, can you read me? Alpha team? Anyone?"
Evelyn was beginning to get frantic. Their speakers were never, never supposed to be off. Ever. But no one was responding.
"Beta team, Alpha team, Charlie team, anyone, respond!"
Suddenly an idea dawned on Evelyn. The only time any of the speakers were off were for repairs, or...
If the lines were cut.
Just as Evelyn made the connection, she heard a huge boom resonate through the air. Almost instantly, she saw a plane spiral down to the ground. Another boom, and her plane started spinning wildly out of control. "Alpha Three is down!" She yelledm even though she knew that it wouldn't do any good. She yanked the wheel uselessly, the plane spinning upside down for a full second. She clasped the seatbelt tighter around herself and grabbed hold of the seat, leaning her head down, one arm flung over to protect it. More booms. Evelyn dared a glance outside, screaming in terror as the ground came closer and closer...

Then all was black.
