In the Café

Hyeju POV

I haven't seen Chaewon and Yves for a day. I wonder how they're doing right now, I'm also gonna work today since my boss is expecting me.

I hope I get to see Yves today, I miss her bothering me.

I readied myself and got out of the house.

As I arrived outside of the café and saw Yves ordering people drinks, just like the usual. Finally, everything is back to normal.

As soon as I got inside the café, hoping Yves to ram me down with her heavy ass and start conversing with me. But on the second thought..

I looked at her, we made eye contact and I smiled at her.

She suddenly turned away from me and continued ordering.

What..?

I brushed it off my mind for now and went to the locker room to wear my uniform.

I kept glancing at Yves who's still doing her work. But, we still didn't talk. Not a bit.

Break time started and I sat down at the nearby chair, hoping Yves would just approach me once. But never did.

So, I approached to her first.

"Ya, Yves." I called

"Hmm?" she replied without looking at me and doing something else.

"Don't you think that girl with a cap and mask on is sitting there for a long period of time?" I tried to start up a conversation randomly.

"Yeah." she blantly replied

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah." still without looking at me.

"Did something happened yesterday?"

It took quite a bit of a long pause before she could answer.

"Nothing."

"You've been awfully quiet."

"Me?"

"Yeah, you."

"I don't know." she replied

"Yves. You can tell when something bad hap–"

"I'm fine Hyeju." she turned to my direction and looked at me.

"Ya Yves. I'm being careful with everything I say now but you left me with no choice. Where the fuck were you with Chaewon yesterday?"

A long pause from Yves not knowing what to say.

"How did you know?" she asked

"Manager told me."

Yves let out a big sigh and started to walk away.

"Yves! Can you just... stop ignoring me for.. a couple of minutes. Please." I said as I grabbed her shoulder for her to turn and look at me.

"Ignoring you? When you literally left the place without context and never came back!? I don't care if you're being careful with your words now Hyeju, you should be more careful with your actions too."

"Yves, you're overdramatic."

"Yeah. I am. Thank you for that. I get that alot that's why no one wants to be friends with me."

I felt the guilt down to my spine and regretted saying her that. I promised not to abandon her.. So I shall do it and be by her side.

"Look, I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking about my actions that caused you."
