Chapter 6

I can't believe I'm heading back to the place I was strictly told not to go back to. Why can't I just listen, better yet, maybe I shouldn't say yes so easily.

7:00 pm comes by, antsy to just get this night over with. This time, without any sort alcohol in my system, I must stay alert at all times!

"Julie, I don't plan staying until 2 am, because last time it took way too long to get a ride home."
Julie gave me a long, critical look, "yeah yeah Nat, we'll see what happens".

"Mhmm" I reply back.

Looking in my closet I have two options, a simple satin black dress, with strapped back detailings, or black flare pants with a sparkly sliver top.
I feel like wearing pants tonight, I heard it's going to be more chilly than last time.

"Hey Nat!".
I turn away from looking at myself to look in Julie's direction. "Yes Julie?"
"Remember the guy I told you about, the one we're meeting. I don't know if I'm speculating too much but when we saw him at the club last night, I saw him leaving with a bodyguard."

Natalia raises an eyebrow, "Julie, you're definitely speculating, why would that guy have a bodyguard. Maybe you saw wrong, it might have been the bouncer of the club."

"Heh, you're right Nat, pretend I didn't say anything."
I smirk over at her "Say anything about what?"

We entered through the doors of the nightclub, this time Julie's friends weren't intoxicated by any alcohol... yet. The night club still looked luxurious, this time with less people, but still enough people to get lost in. Natalia took a quick glance around the area, just in case she saw the one and only Mr. Valentino. Getting her attention back to her friends, Sofia yelled
"Shots time!!".

Shots already? We haven't even been in here for 5 minutes. We just entered.

"Nat, here's yours." Amelia handed Natalia a shot of Whiskey, but Natalia hesitated before grabbing it from her hand.

"Why so hesitant Nat?"

Julie jumped into the conversation, "it's because she doesn't want to drink tonight."

Everyone of Julie's friends gasped. As if it was weird to not drink at a club. "Sorry guys, not tonight, I plan on being alert".

"So weird Nat" called Sofia.

How is that weird?

Interrupting the girls' conversation, Natalia decides to say something. "Hey guys, I'm going to head to the washroom, I'll be back."

"Okay Nat, don't get lost." Julie replies.

While walking towards the washroom, Natalia still scans the area. Hoping she wouldn't run into her professor.

Unintentionally, Natalia bumped into someone she recognized. "Hey watch out!" Said the mysterious guy.
Natalia looked apologetic, "Oh shoot, I'm so sorry- wait weren't you with my friends a few days ago?"

He stared into her eyes, confused for a moment, "Sorry, I don't recall, you are probably confusing me with the wrong guy."

Have I gone this mad?

"Oh sorry, have a good night." The strange man gave Natalia one last confused look and scoffed away. How embarrassing.

I swear that was him, on everything that was him!
