Dear diary,

It's the second month of university and I'm literally dying. Everyday I'm completely swamped in homework, leaving no time for the outside world! Julie and my other friends constantly ask me to go out with them which is kind of concerning because I know Julie has very difficult classes that require a lot of attention. Ugh I just hate to seem like the nerd, but in my defense it has been my dream to study here, plus my parents would definitely be disappointed in me if I wasn't putting my best foot forward.

But, it's hard to concentrate, especially since my calculus professor is persistently on my ass. Even when I do take a break from my school work, I always see him. It sucks because my friends LOVE the club I'm specifically not allowed to go to. I honestly don't understand what the problem is...

Anyway

There's a part of me that wants to listen to what he says, but another part of me wants to just go there and show him that he can't tell me what to do. Ugh!! This is so infuriating, why can't he just bother someone else.

Interrupting Natalia's daily journal write, Julie starts talking to her.

"Nat! What are you writing about in that silly book of yours."

Natalia slowly glares up from her journal to look at Julie. "Really? Do you always feel the need to bug me about this 24/7."
A smile peered from Julie's face, as if it amused her every time Natalia answered that question.

"You know you love it when I ask."

"It's getting quite repetitive don't ya think?"

"Nope!"

"I'll just stop writing in front of you if it's such a problem." Natalia said while playfully rolling her eyes.

"Anyway! Girl it's Friday! Why you still sitting on your bed, let's go out. I'm thinking we could head out to Tanya's dorm and meet with the other girls."

Natalia let's that question ponder in her head.

"I don't think so Julie, I am so busy with all this work I have."

Julie walked from her side of the room to Natalia's and sat right beside her.

"Okay."

Okay?!? That's it??

"Wait, you're not going to try to make me go out with you?" Natalia said in a slight judgmental way.

"I'm not going to force you babes, I respect your dedication to school. Wish I was like you though."

Julie got up from the bed and walked away from Nat, as if she felt the sudden urge of sadness."

"Julie, what's wrong?"

"Uh- nothing".

Julie quickly wipes a tear from her eye before Natalia could see.

"I'll see you when I get back Nat, don't have too much fun studying".

With that goodbye the door shut, with only her scent lingering.

Time to study...

2 hours later...

Come on Natalia, focus.

For the past 20 minutes, Natalia's been struggling to keep her mind occupied on her work. She's desperately trying not to get distracted, especially by a particular someone.
