Just like how I felt earlier, something still felt off. I still couldn't tell what it was though.
Everyone was greeting me like they usally would, but I couldnt identify who they were.
I had lived in syspocalypstar for my whole life, 11 years. I knew almost everyone's name.
Everyone knew mine.

"MEL!"

I looked behind me and I saw Kiki. A guy ill rememeber forever.

"There you are! Change of plans, we're going to my house, it's really windy today, so our project might fly away!"
"Project?"
"Yeah, our science project, the one due tomorrow"
"Oh, I almost forgot haha!"

I had completely forgot.
I followed him through the streets, he kept bumping into people, me, being the person apologizing.

BANG !

"huh....? kiki? do you know what that was?"
"Kiki?"

Kiki was nowhere to be seen. Infact, nobody was to be seen.
However, some thing was to be seen.
a ghost, in the form of an old hippie-looking man.

"Your worth more then you think"
"Who are you! Where is everyone?"
"Their okay, your not."
"I'm aware, since the day I was born it was that way"
"Your not letting me speak, brickowski"
"How do you know my last name...?"
"That shouldn't concern you."
"It is"
"Wake up"

that was the last thing he said to me, before I woke up in a hospital bed.
I couldn't tell that as the first thing I said was

"ehh....what time is it?"
"8:01 am, glad to see your awake"

a doctor was at the end of the bed. my parents standing in the doorway.

"What happened...?"
"You passed out yesterday morning, you were unresponsive,
it got more serious over time so you were taken here"
"Yesterday..... Its Monday! Kiki! Is he okay?"
"The orange haired boy? He's alright."

I was told to stay there for the rest of the day.
One point later in the day I heard something, someone talking.

"melody...?"

It was my aunt, Maya Jane.

"may!!"
"You looked so lifeless yesterday, you look much more healthy now, that's good."
"thank you for coming to see me!"
"Ah, it's fine. Your dad told me about it all, I had to check up on you"

I smiled. she always had my back, she has really bad social anxiety,
I'm one of the only people she enjoys talking to.

"What were you and Kiki doing anyway?"
"We were heading to his place to work on a project..."
"Oh, that's good."

we talked about general stuff for awhile. Something still felt off.

"Are you okay Mel?"

I turned to her. Maya's always looking out for everyone. Friends or not.

"Ah- I think so. Something has felt really off since yesterday- everything feels out of place"
"I think I know what feeling your talking about- is there anything bothering you at the moment-?"
"Not specifically..... I just feel more useless lately- I'm not saying I never was, but-
I'm always being told that I should let other people do the hard work!.....
people always find a way to tell me they don't think I'm capable of doing things without directly telling me."

I mumbled the last bit, she heard enough of it to understand.
Then she gave me some advice, I recognise it, though I don't know where.

"Your worth more then you think, the others think their fine, you know your not. they have to help you, if their not, their being the useless ones, looking out for eachother, though, you can't ever be fine. Something is always impossible. I can tell this isn't, brickowski."

by now she had to leave, if I was feeling better tomorrow i could go home.
I still can't help by thinking of the old ghost man.

Kiki is no way cannon, he's just a energetic orange hair guy with a rich family :)
