Ears alert, nostrils flared and eyes narrowed. I pushed myself as high as I could possibly go over the swamps forest. Whiro and Beast not too far behind. I'm winning Dragon Catch for the third time this week! Don't get me wrong, Whiro and I sometimes go wing and wing during our races. He's the second fastest.
Every supernatural creature has the invisibility gift. It helped hiding ourselves from mortals whenever we crossed paths. With it, my friends and I could play whenever we wanted. Back in Rafflesia, the younglings loved Dragon Catch. We practically grew up on it.
A mime in front of me, I spot the yellow flag laying on a stump. Out of the corner of my eye, Whiro is on the opposite side heading towards the stump too. I have to beat him! I eased down beyond the trees when images blinded my vision and losing control, I fall right into a tree, falling down landing on one of my wings.
"Zue!" The twins yelled, landing near me.
"Oh no, Beast, our dear friend is beyond the stars stars, Whiro began. "Let his name be knows as the strongest dragon of all. From his charisma to his wisdom and strength"
"Whiro shut up. He is hurt." Beast nudged me with his snout. "Hey Zue. No one won. We waited for you."
"I would have won if you didn't tell me to turn around."
"That wouldn't be fair." Beast and Whiro argued about who was right til I became tired of it and I moved from my stuff spot.
"I'm fine," I groaned. The pain in my left wing ached and thronged as I stood up on my paws. I looked behind me and saw it bent in an odd angle. Was sure I broke a bone. "My left side not fine."
"Zue, there's nothing you can do. A broken wing is never good. Do you know that? The only person who can heal a wing is Roisog," Whiro mentioned.
"He's right, Zue. This is bad bad bad."
I knew they were right. Roisog and his wife Cindy were the only healers in our world. Spending all of their time studying herbs to tend to the sick and wounded. Unfortunately risking the exposure of returning home for their help remained out of the question.
"I will think of something." I told them, unable to come up with a solution.
"Did you bump your head too? We can't fly without a wing!" It was Beast turn to lecture me. They can say what they want but at the end of the day its not worth getting killed over.

Calliana's POV
Tying up the boat to the dock was my brother's job but since he isn't here I have to do it all myself and I suck with knots.
The swamp lay peaceful and quiet unlike the day before when the busches moved every moment from the heavy winds. These lands are dangerous, men have drowned out here and quick sand in some areas too.
Jogging over to the last place I remembered the tree to be I grew excited seeing it. It stood five feet tall and produced the same red colored leaves. They were bright and beautiful. These leaves can save hundreds of people.
I rummaged the garden shovel from my pocket and used it to dig out the root of the tree. The dirt texture turned grey and mushy the deeper I went. "That object you are using isn't strong enough." The deep familiar voice speaks, echoing in the air.
I turned around and saw nothing. I looked at my surroundings carefully. "Where are you?"
"I'm here." What appeared to be a huge rock was the giant dragon bald up next to a rock.
He is the one who flew us back to the dock. I smiled, happy to see him. I was about to say something but my eyes noticed his wing folded in a strange angle. It didn't look normal. "Your wing." I moved to eye I better but he moved and blocked my view.
"I thought I made myself clear to never never come back."
"I know but I...."
"Leave."
"I only cane back for..."
"Your tree." His eyes glided over to it.
"Yup. I'm a scientist of sort and studying plant DNA. That plant can heal so many diseases." Instead if a reply I watched him move over to it and pull the tree from the ground with its mouth. He placed it right in front of me.
"There. You have what you came for. Now you can go."
"Uh thanks." I smiled then frowned again noticing his breathing patterns as he moved. Clearly in pain and covering it up by pretending to be normal.
"What happened to you?"
"None of your business," he snapped. That didn't stop me. I wanted to know.
"I have a friend who is a doctor and he runs X-rays. He can tell if a bone if fractured."
"I doubt your healers can help a supernatural creature such as myself. I am sorry you are wasting your time."
"Okay listen. You can pretend you are okay all you want but I know when someone is in pain and you are hurting. Do you always force people away when they try to help you?" Dragon or not, he was still a male and males loved to play the tough card even when they know they need help.
He grunted and starred at me with his silver eyes. "A special kind of potion is needed to fix me and the creators of it is back in my world but the drows can't know we're alive.
"Drow?"
"They are dark elves, slayed a lot of us. That is all I am sharing. I need some rest now."
