"The only reason I came here with you was to protect you. What would your father think if I let something happen to you intentionally? Your father introduced me into your life after all."

I drunk the last bit of water from the stream and laid down beside a rock. Memories of the day when Tarax waited for me outside of Sagonia. I had just finished classes for the day and Tarax walked up to me with a kind gesture. He said he was my protector summoned from my father. After that day, Tarax never left my side. Only five foot tall, he believed he could protect me no matter how small he was, and I believed him. A gargoyles magic is very powerful and it goes back to the old religion. An old wizard told me so.

Tarax is the only one capable of traveling back and forth through the dimensions without being spot and for that I am glad of. He sends us back information from time to time, although it has been a few decades since he visited our home world since today.

"He's not here. You shouldn't need to watch me anymore."

"Your father's passing is exactly why I'm still here. You need me now more than ever. The sooner you admit that to yourself, the better, my friend."

Geez, I hated when he's right. He's like this father figure to me and he knows it. He's over four thousand years old. Gargoyles are almost immortal, but they do have weaknesses. The sunlight causes them to freeze and turn into statue during the day. Tarax said it's like being paralyzed, you are still able to hear but seeing is impossible.

"Are you going to tell me about this human you shared your darkest secret with?"

What! I looked at him confused. How did he know about that?

"I heard talk around. Seriously, Zue. I may be stone during the day, but my ears still works. Can you trust her?"

Could I trust her? She gave me her word never to show up here again. "I don't think she'll be back here anytime soon. She came for some silly plant."

"I am terribly sorry your friends and you will be without a mate. I thought about this for some time now. Assuming there's no female dragons left, I'm afraid the dragon population will become extinct."

I never thought of the idea of finding a mate, but I've heard of it. My parents were mates as father told me. Mom didn't want dad in the beginning, so father did what he thought was best, he wooed her with gifts and compliments until she finally gave in. Their love sounded almost perfect. After mother left us, other couples talked about the devastating incident. Father nearly felt embarrassing ...and me...well, I grew confused as I still am today.

Unless mother escaped too, she is known to be dead to my friends, and I along with everyone's families. Living life in the shadows wasn't that hard if you learn the correct route. Sometimes I do think of all of my friends I left behind in Rafflesia. I have made friendship with a few werewolves, fairies, and wizards. Even had to protect a few when things turned dangerous.

"I am only glad my friends and I made out alive."

"As you should. The drows needs to be destroyed, my friend. My visit back home was devastating. Our world has changed and I think for good. The dark elves has taken over. Almost everyone has bowed down to this new order set by them. They have taken over as ruler and are trying to change the laws of the supernatural by manipulating it's power. Their killing any creature who doesn't bow down willingly. Many are dead, Zue. Rafflesia isn't the home we knew anymore."

A loud growl escaped my mouth along with a long blow of red boiling fire. It almost makes me regret leaving, yet we had too. We were out numbered and I a much younger dragon back then. What purpose did they need to rule over Rafflesia? Everyone lived in peace once. Everyone seemed happy. Everyone respected each other. Now all of that destroyed. For what reason? To rule? Rafflesia didn't need a ruler. We had the supernatural book filled with laws from our ancestors and the beginning of our time.

"Now that you are very injuried, I think this is a great time for you to return and kill each and every drow to save the supernatural and our world. The dark elves murdered the dragon population, because of the threat. I think by now you know this. Their afraid of your kind. What you're all capable of doing. My brothers stands on the very castle housing the drows empire. He warned me about their plan on changing every law there is and gaining power from the Aminik."

Aminik held dark magic inside the tree of running water surrounded by a large lake. Many many centuries ago, a very powerful half wizard and half
