Y/n POV:
~~~
All the newsies stopped cheering and we looked at Crutchie who started to talk, "Wouldn't a strike be more affective if someone in charge new about it?" he asked.
"It'll be a pleasure to tell Weasel myself!" Race smiled turning to the man in the square.
"And who tells Pulitzer? Davey?" Jack asked turning to the brunette still thinking through something in his mind looking very thoughtfully at his shiny shoes.
"I don't know... I guess you do Mr President!" we all cheered as Davey walked back over and stood looking up at Jack.
"That's right. We do... Y/n I'm gunna need your help on this one. What do we tell him?" I watched as Jack called me up, I moved and crouched on the paper stack next to him.
"The news paper owners need to respect your rights as employees." Davey started.
"Pulitzer and Hearst gotta respect the workin' kids of this city." I chimed in earning a smile from Race.
"They can't just change the rules when they feel like it." Davey started to yell and get more passionate as he talked.
"We do the work so we get a say!" Jack yelled out to everyone.
"We got a union!" Davey smiled and everyone cheered.
Jack pulled me, Davey and Less aside from all the cheering boys and we walked to the World building. Knocking on the door, they opening and we walked inside. The building was hug e, marble floors and pillars on the wall with sighed and hung papers that performed the best hanging along the wall and then a large photo of Pulitzer at the end. Within a few second of being inside, three bulls came over and stared at us like rotten fruit.
Suddenly they sprang at us and one of them grabbed my arms, pulling them behind my back as I squirmed in their harsh, painful grip, "GET OFF ME!" I screamed.
Jack, Less and Davey were being forced out of the building by the other two bulls and this one started to push me to the large wooden doors as I yelled him to stop bruising my wrists and with his other hand he grabbed my hair and tugged me outside. The doors flew open and we were all thrown to the floor, I groaned at my wrists that now had large hand bruises on them.
Race ran to me and picked me up in a hug, he gently rubbed my wrists once he saw the marks. Less stood up and ran at the doors as the bull closed them, "You can tell Pulitzer that a few days into this strike, he's gonna be beggin' for an appointment to see me! You got that?" he screamed at the man as he closed the doors in his face, "He got it." all the boys ran at him cheering.
Third person POV:
Everyone moved to go to Jacobi's Deli and Street. Y/n, Race and Albert were next to each other as the room buzzed with the strike news. Y/n looked around and rubbed her wrists still, race kept his hands on her to stop her making Albert giggle.
"I say we launched our strike in a most auspicious manner!" Davey raised his glass expecting cheers but it was silence. Y/n looked at Race as they were both confused at what he had just said.
"I don't know about that. But we sure scared the bejeebers out of Weasel!" Mush fist pumped the air and everyone laughed with him.
"Did you see the Delancey's? They didn't know which way was up!" Crutchie smiled.
"So what's next?" Jack asked Davey.
"Spread the word. Let the rest of the city's newsies know about the strike."
"You heard the man! Let's split up and spread the word." jack stood up onto the table.
"I'll take Harlem!" Mush called out raising his arm.
