maddy and cassie both left the party with nate to bring him to the hospital, which was the last time i saw either one of them before school started again.. aside from phone calls and shit.

   maddy has been pretty wrapped up with nate again ever since, even though she says she's getting over him. that and she's been babysitting a lot more.

   "what's up with her?" i pointed towards jules as she walked away, while walking up to rue and some other kid i've never seen.

   rue shrugged and the other kid spoke, "that was awkward."

   i definitely walked in at the wrong time, "uhm, i'll see you later rue."

   "this is elliot by the way." rue motioned towards elliot.

   "(y/n)." i stated and we both awkwardly smiled, "see ya." i started heading towards my locker.

   i decided to skip english because i just could not stand to see nate or teegan, who was acting suspiciously quiet.

   i walked into the bathroom to see maddy talking to bb, who i haven't really talked to much since i've been here.

   "oh, hey, (y/n)!" maddy hugged me. "i feel like i haven't seen you in like forever."

   "i mean it's only been like a week, but same." i laughed.

   maddy leaned out of the hug, then continued her conversation with bb. she turned to face the mirror, "i feel like i would look so sexy pregnant."

   "maddy, please do not get pregnant." kat walked out of a stall.

   "i wouldn't wear any of those nasty maternity clothes, i would just be me... plus pregnant!" maddy stated as she walked over to bb.

   i laughed and leaned on the sink counter.

   "remember when i got pregnant?" bb said out of nowhere.

   "you got pregnant?!" i asked and the three of them looked at me. bb just nodded.

   "yes," maddy turned from me to bb, "and it would be nothing like that."

   bb made a face, then continued, "well, speaking of baby daddies, i've seen the photo that ethan posted of the two of you.. it's cute as fuck." she looked at kat.

"no for real, kat, i wish i had a relationship like that, damn." i joked.. kinda.

"yeah, kat, stop flaunting your healthy, non-abusive, wonderful relationship." maddy started as she sat on the counter next to where i was standing, "it's actually triggering."

kat smiled, "yeah.. he's um.. he's really sweet."

i gave kat a questioning look, then she started telling us this whole story about how her and ethan have really good sex or whatever.

"wait, you're telling me ethan tore your clothes off?!" i asked.

"..and then fucked the shit out of you?!" maddy added.

kat sat on the sink counter, "yeah.. it's great." she shrugged.

"wow." maddy and i both said.

"go ethan!" bb chanted.

   i was walking out of the building to go home, when i spotted cassie, "hey, cass." i walked up to her, but she seemed a little off, "are you okay?"

   "yeah..um.." she trailed off for a minute, to look at something behind me, "yeah i'm fine." she looked back at me.

   when she glanced behind me again, i turned around to see what she was looking at. i spotted maddy, who was walking in our direction.

   "are you sure?" i asked again.

   her breathing started picking up, then she just turned around and walked away.

   "uhm.. okay.." i turned around to find maddy walking up to me.

   "where's she going?" maddy pointed at cassie.

   "good question..." i trailed off as i looked back towards cassie.

   "she's been acting really fucking strange today, it's not you." maddy reassured me, then i walked with her to her car.

   after the whole thing with teegan, maddy continued driving me to and from school everyday, which my mom wasn't happy about.

"thanks, mads." i got out of her car once she pulled into my driveway.

"mads?" she grinned and raised an eyebrow at me.

i just shrugged and grabbed my bag out of her car.

"cute.."

i walked into the kitchen to get something to eat, but of course my mom had to make a comment per usual, "maddy drove you home?"

"um, yeah, why?" i opened a cabinet, while searching for something to eat.

"i'd rather me or your father drive you."

"why?" i closed the cabinet and turned to her, "that's literally just more work for you. weren't you just saying you wanted me to get my license so you wouldn't have to drive me? now you don't have to. why are you upset about this?"

"you know exactly why i'm upset. i don't like when you hang out with maddy. she is not a good influence. i understood when she had to stay here, but i really don't want you hanging out with her anymore. we talked about this." she said, sternly.

"just because she cursed out a parent? there are people who have done much worse than that, mom." i shook my head.

"she used a terrible word to a parent, (y/n). i've heard that she has a terrible attitude and isn't very nice. i don't like you being around her, i won't say it again."

"who even told you that? she's nice to me.. she's my friend and i don't care what you think." i rolled my eyes and started walking out of the kitchen.

"she is not driving you anymore!" my mom yelled as i left the kitchen.

"whatever!" i yelled back as i walked up the stairs.
