   "i'm sorry, maddy, i think you should head home tonight." suze gave a sad smile to maddy. maddy just nodded in response. everyone was supposed to sleep over lexi and cassie's, but with the state cassie was in, it definitely wasn't a good idea.

   kat and i both ended up going to maddy's house and sleeping over there. of course, i told my mom i was sleeping over kat's house, though.

"sorry about.." i thought for a moment, "literally everything that happened tonight."

by this time, kat was asleep, while maddy and i just sat on her bed.

"it's not your fault."

"i know, but i still feel bad."

"it's always tragic when cassie drinks," maddy joked, but quickly grew more serious, "i just can't believe nate left."

i shook my head, "yeah.. that was fucking low."

maddy nodded, "i think..i might want to be done with him."

"yeah?"

"yeah." she stated. "so what's going on with you?" she changed the subject.

   "what do you mean?" i gave her a confused look.

   "i don't know, you seemed a little on edge this whole night, what's wrong?"

   "oh.." i started, "um, teegan texted that he was outside my house a few hours ago."

   "oh fuck no!" she started getting up, which woke kat up.

   "maddy, where are you going?" i watched as she put her shoes on.

   "i'm going to his house and i'm ending this right now."

   "maddy, i can-" she cut me off, "don't even. im not letting him continually do this to you. he's creepy as fuck and someone needs to confront him."

   kat stood up, "maddy, no. not tonight. we are not dealing with this tonight. i think we've had enough drama."

   maddy picked her car keys up off her dresser and shook her head, "then when? when is this going to be dealt with? because i am not gonna let him keep doing this to her."

"then, tell the police!" kat looked at both me and maddy, "you're not handling this, maddy."

"his dad is a fucking cop." maddy and i said at the same time. she looked at me and i continued, "why do you think i haven't told the police yet? his dad will get him out of it.. that and i literally have no evidence."

"you don't know that." kat responded, "and you have the text from him saying he was outside your house."

"but, could they really do anything with just that?" i asked. kat shrugged and sat down on the bed, "i don't know."

   "then, let's go to teegan's tomorrow." maddy insisted.

   "i really don't think that's a good idea." kat stated.

   "then what is a good idea?" i looked at kat.

   "are you really encouraging this?" kat motioned towards maddy.

   "no, i just don't know how else to handle this."

"we handle this by me beating the shit out of him!" maddy started walking towards her bedroom door.

"okay, no," kat started, "no one is beating the shit out of anyone. if we go to teegan's we're going to talk to him."

"talking has gotten me literally no where." i reminded kat.

"right, how many times has (y/n) told him off? talking to him does absolutely nothing." maddy turned to kat.

"so what are we gonna do?" i looked at both of them because honestly, i didn't really know what the right way to handle this was. i wasn't really sure if going to the police would work, considering all the factors. talking to him obviously didn't help. as much as i wanted maddy to beat the shit out of him, i also didn't want her to get hurt because that kid is not small.

   "i think you need to file a restraining order or something. go to the police, in the morning, and tell them everything.. or just tell your parents first and see what they say." kat stated and i just thought for a moment. "but right now, i'm tired as fuck, so i'm gonna go to sleep and the two of you need to do the same." kat moved back to the air mattress she had been sleeping on.

  the next morning, maddy offered to drive kat and i home. first, she dropped off kat.

   "this isn't the way to my house." i looked at maddy.

   "we're going to teegan's."
