                                    ALTHEA

I woke up from my bed as I saw that I was in a dream. I had been having dreams over this past week that were related to my parents and the horrors of their deaths.

I drank some pills and even tried to not sleep because my heart became more savage and hurt when it all registered into my head that someone took away my parents.

He dared to leave me as an orphan and I felt like I should repay them by ascending the throne that they had left in my hands. I had no idea how I would run it but I felt a sort of trust towards Anabelle.

I hardly trusted anyone because I had lost some of my feelings along with my memory. I lost my smile and even the ability to show the emotions on my face.

I took a shower and changed into some hoodie with shorts before the nurse came in with a tray of food. She smiled towards me and retreated back quietly.

The nurses here were really afraid of me as they knew my status, apparently. I once ever wondered how I was when I had my memory or what did I do with my life.

I glanced at the food and took just an apple as the door opened and the lady from the past week or as I should address her, Anabelle stepped into the room.

I heard the door lock and she walked over to take a seat down. I faced her as she smiled and took a glance towards my body.

To be honest, I had a great body but I had grown thin from the great body I once had. I was like half the size now but still I could have the best body out there.

"When am I needed?" I questioned.

She raised her face in hope and the pictures and flashbacks of my parents came rushing into my head when I asked.

"In two days. They have no idea that you have lost your memory and think you are on a hiatus so they expect you to be there in two days" she said and I nodded.

I had already decided to return back to the real world because my rest here was enough. I had been in here for a decade long and it was now time to come back from the dead.

I stood up and walked towards my suitcases which I had packed over the week. I wanted to be on my way and keep whatever was needed in check.

She was right.

I was chosen for a reason and I intended on finding out what the reason was for my father to do that and the audacious person who took away my parents.

"Well I am gonna need all my details. Be as deep as you can and all the lists of all my employees and business partners" I said with full order, trailing into business mode.

I had no idea where it came from because somehow my body started to move itself to match the tone and appear to be that much confident.

Was I like this before?

"Also add the details of the company and the reports for the past years since father passed away. Can you do that for me today?" I asked and turned to face her.

She had a smile on her face and tears that were in her eyes. I could very well see that she was an emotional person and someone easily affected by words.

"You remind me of the past times when you used to order me like this while we planned your varsity assignment and work for your internship" she added and I fell in question.

"How long have you known me?" I asked because she sounded like she was there for every moment of my life.

"All your life. We became friends when we were three years old but separated when we were 8. Your family moved to New York but we joined soon after" she mentioned and I nodded.

"Is there something you will need? Except anything work related?" She asked and I paused to think for a moment.

"A house, cars and clothing. All black and make the house white. I have no preference but these colours provide me with calmness whenever I am blown" I said and she jolted them down.

"Well let me leave and start on that. Your release date is tomorrow and I promise to have all this sorted out" she said and I sent her a curt nod.

She walked out as I sat on my chair and went on a research using my brand new MacBook. I researched my name and came up with all kinds of pictures.

I once modelled?..

Wow.

Time passed before something clocked onto my laptop. I checked to see that Anabelle had sent all the needed documents and I started to revise on them.

What she didn't know was that, I had been revising business management ever since I came back memory wiped from the hospital.

-----

The hours flew by and before I knew it, I stood before the asylum gates looking at the world I was about to be exposed to again.

I could feel the sudden anxiety but I gulped it down and focused on my plan. I turned to Anabelle and the nurses who stood on the sidelines.

These people had become my family and treated me okay even when I lost my memory. I also looked back the crazies that I left in here.

I listened to their stories everyday and I was shocked that the domino effect hadn't taken place yet. Some of them spoke things that can only be answered by science or God.

"Ms Althea, shall we?" Anabelle asked.

I nodded and climbed into my blacked out Rolls Royce. She followed and sat herself on the passenger seat with my driver named Xavier on the steering wheel.

The drive took about two hours and I could see the gigantic buildings of New York. I was never told they were this tall and so sky based.

We passed and paused before a white mansion that had a circular driveway and glass walls here and there. It was really and utterly beautiful.

Anabelle led me into the house and I was greeted by the warm beige colours mixed with white and black here and there along with some few colours.

The luxury of the house was amazing and that made me turn to Anabelle,

"How rich am I?" I asked.

"About a few billion-trillions here and there" she said and I kept my face the same but freaked out inside. How the fuck is someone that rich without even lifting a finger?

"Well I should go and prepare for tomorrow. I just want to say, Welcome back to your real world, Althea Caddel"
