I returned home early morning and decided to take a bath. My bones were paining from sleeping on the couch hence I needed a water massage to handle a situation like this.
Once I stepped into the bath and settled myself in, I started to reverse to all the events that had happened yesterday. From the one in the restaurant all the way to today.
I was unfair to one person who tried to stand up for me and support me as a friend. I found myself feeling guilty about how I ended with Daniel.
He only tried to save me from talking and instead took my side but I scolded and even went as far as threatening to cancel our friendship.
To think about it,
He was the only friend that I was left after all that happened with my parents and my decade long hiatus. He never asked me about it and just accepted me back home.
Did I hurt him?
....I think so.
I stopped and stepped out of the bath with a towel around my body. I went and took my phone, calling Anabelle.
"Miss?" She answered.
"Send me the address to Green Enterprises as soon as possible, please" I said and I could hear some paper shuffling on her side.
Was she at work?
I had asked her to take a break since she was at company the entire night with me. She said she felt unsafe leaving me in a vulnerable state with Alexander around knowing how much he hated me.
"I just sent it" she said.
"Thank you and please go home. We have so much work to complete tomorrow so take a break" I said and hung up.
The address was in my messages and I threw my phone on my bed heading to my closet. I scanned through the countless clothing and decided on a dress that was both formal and had a slight casual feeling.

It was a white polka dotted bodycon dress with red roses and middle slit. The sleeves were short and had small ruffles. I added a red headband to match the theme with a white handbag.
White Louboutin heels later and some red lipstick, I added my accessories and left the house. The drive to Green Enterprises took about 20 minutes and I arrived in record time.
The company was beautiful and elegantly built to represent the handsome man. I shook my head and stepped into the company as I felt eyes on me.
This was how people reacted to me and day by day, I became used to it. I stopped before the reception desk and the blonde on the reception desk seemed to recognize in an instant.
"Miss Caddel" she greeted.
"Is Daniel in? I need to see him" I asked and she nodded as she tapped onto the computer and returned to me with a smile.
"You can head up to the 40th floor. Mr Green has been notified about your presence" she said and I nodded as I headed off towards the elevators.
The ride to the 40th floor was quick and I questioned if the elevator was faster or if my company levels were too many. I stepped out and walked towards his office.
The sound of my heels on the marble floors seemed to evoke in me some confidence. I knocked onto the door and heard a small 'Enter'.
I opened the door and strode inside. Daniel sat on his chair with his eyes focused on his laptop. He looked up and smiled when he saw me.
Why is he so handsome?
"Althea" he said.
"Daniel, I came to apologize" I said and he pointed onto the seat in front of him with a small smile on his face.
"It was about time. I knew you would come around." He said and grinned at me. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Do not make me regret this. I am already suffering because I have to say sorry" I said and he chuckled.
"Still the same huh? Anything to drink?" He asked and I answered with a simple 'water would be fine'. He smiled and walked over to his refreshment tray.
Does everyone have that in their office?
"So can I hear my apology?" He asked and I rolled my eyes as I took the glass from his hands and noticed the rose tattoo on his hand.
It was the top view of the one on my middle finger and I wanted to ask what was the story behind them but I would blow the cover once I did that. He stopped and followed my gaze to the tattoo.
"You still remember when we had this done?" He asked as he took my hand and ran his thumb over mine with a small smile.
I nodded with a small smile and he let my hand go, checking his wrist watch.
"It seems like it's lunch. Wanna eat out?" He asked and I contemplated before deciding it was a harmless lunch and since I owed him an apology, this could do.
"Yeah but only for an hour. I have meetings after that" I said and he nodded as he offered his hand to help me up. I took it with a small smile and strode before him towards the door.
We walked out and talked about some stuff as we approached the elevators. I turned to him in the elevator and questioned how long had I been friends with him.
Did I happen to have feelings for him?...
Because he was sure a handsome man and he seemed to be a good person too unlike the other shithead called Alexander Pierce.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked.
"Just about how long we have been friends. Its surprising how neither one of us have not developed feelings for the other. Usually that is what happens to male, female friends" I said and he nodded.
"You never know. Perhaps they are hidden deep inside us because we know they might ruin this friendship" he said and I paused.
I was about to ask what he meant when the elevator doors opened and he stepped out. I followed and a little girl crashed into me, dropping my phone which cracked the entire screen.
"Sorry" she said bowing her head with tears in her eyes.
She was beautiful with blonde curls and blue eyes almost similar to mine. I crouched down and held her sides with a small smile on my face.
"It's okay sweetie. No need to cry about it. It was just a phone and can be replaced. Are you here alone?" I asked and she shook her head as she lifted it to face me.
"I am with my mommy and daddy. Mommy is coming soon and daddy left something in the car" she said and I nodded as I wiped the tear from her eye.
"Clarabelle" a woman called behind me and little girl turned to see the woman and she smiled.
"Well seems like your mommy is here. It was nice to meet you, Clarabelle and take care. Remember not to run around okay?" I said and she nodded with a smile.
"Daddy"
I released her and stood up as she ran behind me to greet her dad. I stood up and turned to face her parents when I froze once my eyes landed on her dad.
He scooped her up into her arms and turned to face me but froze in action as he scanned me. I felt all those memories rush to my head at just his face.
"Thea?" He asked.
"Hi brother"
