The month was late February. The last couple of months went by rather quickly, with a permanent house guest, Patrick. He only left to deal with council member subject matters or to hunt, which, one of Harry's rules to him keeping near by them, rather he was a council member or not, he was in their home, he had to do the same as Harry, James, the twins and Ronald did. That was to NOT kill the humans they had to feed on. Harry thought it would make Patrick get annoyed and move on, but to his surprise, Patrick agreed. That also made Harry and James wonder why Patrick was staying so close, but other things kept Harry busy. His baby twins, nearly four months old, were sitting up and getting a lot of personality. Zoe, the twin kept in purple, was a lot more active, grabbing at everything that she could reach, but had the most ear piercing scream of the two. Hope, the twin in pink, wasn't as active. She was a very big cuddler. Going between just about everybody in the house, human and vampires. She loved to nuzzle her daddy the most. The twins would also bite themselves, Harry and Draco learned it how they let somebody know they were hungry. Luckily their bites healed by the time their bottles were finished.

They weather was still pretty cold, but Draco stood outside. He felt the light kiss on his cheat, Harry standing not really dressed for the weather, he didn't feel temperature, most vampires didn't, and being around home this last few months, made him lack dressing weather appropriate. Draco smiled, turning, and planted a kiss on Harry's lips. "You forget to put your jacket on." Draco said and Harry smiled. "The cold doesn't really bother me, Draco.  Are you glad to be teaching again?" Harry asked. "Of course! Mama's getting uncomfortable, did Jackson tell you?" Draco said and Harry nodded. "Yes, I already told Molly to keep the twins away. My father is keeping close and you know Patrick isn't going anywhere either, I still don't know what this about." Harry shrugged his shoulder. "Mama think she does. His been hanging around the gate in the back after nightfall, talking to the neighbors daughter. She's about 23? Patrick younger looking then she is, however, do you know when he was changed?" Draco asked and after a moments thought. "Seventeen, if I recall. It's not so hard to believe he likes somebody. Being around all of us, has brought back something he lost many MANY years ago, his compassion." Harry said, before Draco locked their hands together. "Walk with me then?" Draco said and Harry smiled. "Of course."

Narcissa made the slow walk to the back door. The door that was hardly used, a little confused on who would be knocking.  Nobody had the code, and the others in the family used Draco's or could just get themselves into the gate. It worried the woman, who was moving very slowly. A very active baby moving inside her, caused a lot of discomfort for the woman.
Her worries were short lived, when she was greeted by the bright blue eyed, black hair neighbor girl, who wasn't that same little girl she once knew. "Why hello, McKenzie! However, I don't recall giving you a code to get into the back gate." Narcissa said, slightly suspicious. "Pat give it to me. Is he here? It's nightfall, he still hasn't shown up." She whispered and Narcissa nodded, inviting her into the house. "He might be resting still. You can find his room on the second floor, his name is badly painted on by my granddaughter, once she welcomed him into our home." Narcissa said and she nodded, before walking to the stairwell. "He is eighteen, isn't he? He says he is, but I can't be sure." She asked. "He is, McKenzie." Narcissa said.

McKenzie found the door, and gave it a knock. She heard talking, but in a language she never heard before, in somewhat whispers on the other side of the door. It stopped after a second of her knocking and the door flung open, a man, looking much older the Patrick stood there. In his council uniform, something she didn't realize. "You're spending to much time here, Patrick." Spoke the man, before pushing past the woman, and Patrick stood at the now open door. "What I do, isn't your business. It hasn't been for a long time." Patrick said, before the man turned around, spoke again in the language, that McKenzie could tell was angrier, before he walked away. Patrick grabbed his jacket, that hung on the other side of the door, and without a word, took the woman back outside.
"Who on earth was that?" She asked, as they dropped in their usually spot, on her side of the gate. "Nevermind who that was." Patrick said, easing to lay on his back in the grass. McKenzie followed his movements. "He...didn't seem to happy to see me." She said softly and Patrick shook his head. "He isn't happy I left." Patrick said, before seeing Harry standing over them. "So, my ear got bitten off by your C-Father because you have a girlfriend?" Harry asked and Patrick rolled his eyes. "I'm going to handle it." Patrick said, getting a smirk form Harry. "At least I know why you've stuck around. I'm not so crazy am I?" Harry said, before Patrick sat up, turning, to face Harry who now stood upright. "I'm not exactly sure what to think, Harry. I know what I'm suppose to do, the same I have since forever, but...It's becoming a problem. I still have a job to do." Patrick said and Harry nodded. "I'm not saying you don't, but rules can be changed, you are in a position to do just that." Harry said and after a sigh. "Easier said then done. I'm still not even sure what I fell. I haven't better, satisfied?" Patrick said and Harry chuckled, but nodded. "If Narcissa makes her way over, Draco and I went to the bakery." Harry said, starting to walk away. "The one that has those Cupcakes?" He asked. Harry nodded. "How many do you want?" Harry asked. "Enough for some to actually make it home." He said. "I'll be sure some does." Harry said, before walking away.
"That man was your father?" Makenzie asked. Patrick, for the conversation, had forgotten about the girl beside him. "Mac, I told you...you can't ask to many questions." Patrick said and she raised an eyebrow. "I'm not stupid, Patrick. I'm not exactly sure what you and some of them are, but it isn't human. At least not fully. I remember what Little Narcissa looked like as a toddler." Makenzie said. Patrick said back down in the grass. "I'm not saying you are, Mac. I just...Things aren't simple, and I am very much confused." He admitted, finding himself being used as a pillow by the human woman. The touch was something he still wasn't used to, being close to her was difficult at times. "I like you, Patrick. Do you not like me?" She asked, for the arm to slowly lock around her. "I do. I know I do because I haven't felt like this before with anybody else...but, it's overwhelming sometimes being around you...And because of my Job and other things...Being with you, is breaking a law...One that I have kept in place for years, on top of years." He admitted, feeling her hand lock around his belt loop. "Can't they be changed?" She asked. "It won't be easy...and I haven't liked somebody before...not like I do you, so I don't even know what to do, properly." He admitted. "I'll show you, sit up." She said.
Patrick pulled away, after Makenzie started kissing him. He engaged back, until his fangs suddenly sprung form their resting place, hidden in his gums. The taste of her B- Blood on his lips, nearly caused the man to got into a frenzy. Before she could even bring a hand to her lip, Patrick was gone form beside her. He stood with his back against the tree in her yard, wiping the blood off his mouth. She got to her feet, pulled the handkerchief out of her pocket. After a dab or three to her lip, she tucked it away and made the walk over to Patrick. "I had a suspicion when Harry moved in. Little Narcissa confirm it. The no question thing, is it because you can't tell me, or don't want to?" She asked and he put his hand up. She didn't move closer and after a pause. "Both...I'm a council member..." He said and after a thought. "like law?" She asked and he nodded. "So...other then the... obvious difficulties, my father, so to say, is also on the council and no, very much disapproves..." Patrick said, not stoping the woman's movements. She planted a light kiss on his cheek. "I'm not afaird, Pat. No more of this, yard stuff. Take me inside?" She asked. "Okay."
