We managed to get it done in time by incorporating the forbidden method of fishing.

Fuel, food, water, and-- Mugwort leaves.

"Daikichi-kun, what are you collecting Mugwort leaves for? Are you trying to make some kind of herbal medicine?"

"I'm going to use this as an insect repellent."

    "Insect repellent? Using Mugwort leaves?"

"Yeah, Mugwort is very effective in these kinds of situations."

"Oh seriously? So do we just hang it up?"

"Nope, we're going to burn it."

    "Burn it!?"

    "Yep."

I threw Mugwort leaves into the fire that was set up in front of the entrance to the Pit House. I welcomed the smoke produced by the Mugwort leaves burning into the Pit House.

"Mugwort leaves contain a substance known as Cineole."

    "Death A L L!? Destroy them all!?"

❄"A L L" is said in English❄

It was a joke by Yukiho.

I said, "That's right" then shouted, "Of course not! No way can I do that!"

I'd be embarrassed if they used it on TV, I thought after I said it.

"The cineole has insect repellent properties, so if you spread the smoke from burning Mugwort leaves in your house, you won't have to be afraid of pests."

"If mosquitoes and flies buzz around at night, I can't sleep."

"That's right. Before the development of insect repellents as we know them today, it was common for households to use the smoke from burning Mugwort leaves to repel insects."

    "Really?"

"That's what my grandpa said, so I'm pretty sure."

"If Daikichi-kun's grandfather says so, then it must be true!"

"By the way, Yukiho-chan, how are things going over there?"

    "I'm almost done!"

While the Mugwort leaves are burning, the two of us are making a meal. We seasoned the fish I caught earlier with some curry powder we had in our backpack and put them on a skewer made of branches.

"Why did they even put curry powder in here?"

"Because I asked for them to be included during our meeting."

    "Really?! But why?!"

"Don't underestimate curry powder. Put it this way, it's an all-purpose spice that makes everything taste better."

"But the skewers I ate on Daikichi-kun's island were just plain delicious, you know?"

"Because it was covered with a lot of salt."

    "Ah, I see."

When the Mugwort that was thrown into the fire burned out. We put the skewered fishes covered with curry powder on top of the fire and slowly roasted them. We could smell the lovely scent of curry as it cooks.

"We should get some sleep after we finish our dinner."

 "Okay!"

I looked up at the sky and saw countless stars painted on a jet-black canvas with Yukiho
