An opening chapter/Nico comfort.

Y/n pov

"Wake-up mi regina. I have news from Camp." Y/n was woken up by her boyfriend Nico. They've been through thick and thin. A quest in October, falling in love, running away to find Percy. And now, helping Hades, Nico's dad, and Persephone run the underworld. She would be leaving soon for the spring equinox and Hades needed help to with the sudden over flow with spirits and the lack of monsters. BASICALLY you guys were the unpaid bodyguards of the lamest night club ever.

Y/n got up and dressed. She decided to wear a pair of baggy yet flattering pair of ripped jeans a wornout Camp Half-Blood t-shirt.l and converse high-tops. She basked in the feeling of nostalgia. This was the first thing she received at camp was that t-shirt. And that day came back vividly; the smell of fear and cyclopes(old toe jam and swamp), pine and Percy's scent of the ocean. The feeling of being apart she didn’t understand yet always wanted to be apart of. She had superpowers thanks to her not-so-dead-beat-dad. She didn't hate her dad but felt the same way about him that each camper did about their godly parent --admiration and disdain. She walked out of her room and into her bathroom for a quick hair brush and to brush her teeth.

When she exited her room she saw Nico and gave him a loving smile and kissed his temple. She really loved Nico in all his edgy-emo-italian-ness. He wore a grey t-shirt, jeans and his aviator. She tried to convince him to get a flannel or a sweatshirt but he said that he wouldn't become a basic middle-school boy. Y/n let it go.

"So,Hun, what happened back at camp?" Y/n asked sitting next to him at the dining table. She grabbed his hand and Nico obliged and held her hand as well. He would never admit it but like holding her warm live hand in his cold and dead one.

"The Seven arrived, like in the prophecy. They are being sent on a dangerous quest. And I think it might we be able to find Percy." He said in a monotone voice. He hasn't been sleeping much since Percy disappeared. Y/n jumped over the moon to try and take a chill pill and take care of himself. But he continues to say up grasping at every thread to try and find him. Y/n understood where he was coming from, Percy saved him more than once; Nico might never say it but he loved Percy. Now Nico sits here, hefty eye bags, a love for black coffee, and stressed. If only knew how to help, all she could do was help him search for the lost boy.

" Do you know where they are heading?" She asked. Looking at the map on the table.

"Yes, Canada--to see the ice king. They'll love him. So we might need to help them if things get rough." He didn't look at y/n in her eyes. He just  starred at the map, empty. "We should leave today, around noon. You can fly us there and we'll watch them from a distance." He said as if commanding an army. She hated Nico like this. She pulled Nico away from the the table and up to his bedroom. "Y/n, what are you doing?" He asked annoyed and confused. She didn't say a word, he asked and asked but her lips were sealed tight.

She pushed the door open and pushed the boy onto the bed.
"What the heck y/n? Why'd you-" He was cut off with y/n's lips meeting his. The kiss was a sweet and caring one coming from the heart.
"You need to sleep Nico. I love you and want to find Percy as well but if you don't sleep you can't think clearly." She looked into Nico's brown eyes, they were swirling with thoughts and merky with the cloud of sleep. He laid down and brought y/n with him. He cuddled into her neck. Mumbling incoherent words as he drifted to sleep. She rubbed circles onto his back. "I'll always be here Nico, we'll find Percy. Don’t worry." She whispered and kissed his forehead. She slipped out of his grasp to pack and save him the stress and allow him get more sleep. After she finished she came back to bed.

"Why'd you leave?" He sounded like a hurt puppy, snuggling closer and pecked her neck.

"Packing, so you didn't have to."

"Thank you, mu regina, for everything."

"Of course my angel. I love you."

"Love you too ❤️."
